Den Bosch~ NS Mat'64 ''469'' + ''449'' + ''466''
Vandaag brachten de Mat'64 stellen zichzelf over. Ditmaal niet naar de sloop maar in de richting van Amersfoort. De meeste van jullie weten waarschijnlijk al wat dit betekend; afscheidsritten. Maar dat even terzijde.
Toen ik het geluid weer even hoorde kwam er wel even een vorm van blijdschap, haast onbeschrijfelijk, dat me terug deed denken aan die mooie tijd, die nu voorgoed weg is.
Samen in combinatie met het zonnetje komen ze hier door Den Bosch heen richting Utrecht.
Dus een mooi moment om even de ongeschreven regels van het fotograferen te vergeten, voor deze mooi treinen! :)

Met een drietje mat '36. Het lijntje Den Dolder - Baarn is in juli 1948 elektrisch geworden, de foto van de moderne tijd zal kort nadien zijn gemaakt. De matige druk- en papierkwaliteit van de ansicht wijst nog op naoorlogse schaarste - of zou het een poging tot artisticiteit zijn?
Mat's expression achieved with some sort of pick booger animation, I think. LOL.
This picture just sums these two up so well. :)
De voormalige NS mat`54 386 van het spoorwegmuseum maakte vanuit Utrecht maliebaan een conditierit naar Emmen via Deventer Zwolle. De NS mat`54 386 naar Emmen bij Ommen op 9-1-2021.

Op 9-10-2022 had ik de de 766 van stichtinghondekop in Zevenaar. Zie hier www.flickr.com/photos/148875646@N08/52418085663/in/feed-1...
Maar in de NS tijd had ik de mat`54 766 27 jaar eerder ook in Zevenaar. De toen NS mat`766 staat als spitstrein 17724 klaar in Zevenaar op 21-12-1995 om naar Arnhem te vertrekken een week of 3 later was het over met de hondekoppen bij NS in de gewone dienst .

Lewis's blue flax - Linum lewisii - was collected on July 9, 1806 in Montana by Lewis and Clark on their great expedition west. It was named for Meriwether Lewis and is a native perennial wildflower that's about thumbnail in size.

The blue flax plant also had medicinal uses and was employed as a poultice for swellings, as an infusion for eye problems and gastrointestinal distress and as a wash for the body and hair. Sacagawea's Shoshone people used flax in this way. Several native tribes of the upper Missouri River region used flax seed as food because of its nutritive value and flavor.

A little while back I had posted a few shots taken with this Yashica-Mat, which was gifted to me by a very good long-time friend (it had belonged to his father). I mentioned I was sending it out to be overhauled, as the shutter was not working well, and cosmetically it had issues. I sent it to Mark Hama to be refurbished. It's back, and he did a great job on it! He not only fixed the shutter and cleaned the optics, but he replaced the old mirror and also replaced the old dried and peeling leatherette covering. There's nothing quite like a vintage classic that has been fully restored to its original glory! Thanks, Mark!!
