Last night was a sleep-deprived, fun, long, exhausting, wonderful night spend out in the beauty of the Yellowknife area chasing stars, aurora, and dreams with good friends Paul Zizka Photography and Robbie Craig's Northern Projects
"The Lights" made a few fickle appearances but it was this capture of Paul earlier in the night that caught my attention. Paul's known around the globe for his night/aurora work and it was fun having the chance to capture him at play.

This otter was very successful Saturday morning; it caught at least 6 fish, probably more, while I and others watched.
These cuttlefish are the masters of disguise are some of the most curious creatures of the sea.
They also mimic the shape and texture of objects around them to better hide.
One master to tame them all. Don't get in his way, or the will deafen you with the power of a hundred bells!

Last mothers day I posted a photo of 3 newborn kittens. I thought I would give a small update on they're progress. This is Yoda he was the last born and what a character he is. He is a male with the longest fur I've ever seen on a cat. His fur actually grows in two levels, The first is closer to his body and the second is a very thin Aura type fur that is 2 inches longer than his body fur. We named him Yoda because when he was bottle feeding his little ears would wiggle. :) I was really bored yesterday and was watching them hunt each other in the overgrown grass in my backyard. I have let the grass over grow because these 2 just love playing in it, hunting flies and each other, that I don't have the heart to cut it, they have so much fun in it. :) I liked this shot because I can see myself in his eye. Is that vanity or just the fact that I managed to get his eye in focus for the first time. :)

A Brown-capped Pygmy Woodpecker (Dendrocopos nanus) after a prolonged search at broken twigs finally investigated out the victim, a caterpillar from the swollen perch. I was silently chasing the master from twigs to twigs finally caught the master with its masterpiece reward just at the perfect time. Pics was taken from Dehradoon, India.
'Maestro' in its full sense of supreme ruler of his domain (art, but not only - he was also an engineer, scientist, philosopher, architect, poet and much more).
Tough role model for any wannabe polymath - and although I am a lifetime fan and disciple, I'm not even a wannabe polymath. Just a 'jack of all trades' (with part 2 of this saying: 'master of none').
In honor of "The Last Jedi" being announced, I threw together an aging Luke Skywalker and an impressionable Ben Solo, who have just finished taking down one of the remaining Imperial Cells in the galaxy.
With all of the recent SW comics Marvel has been releasing, I think it would be a cool idea to have a miniseries, if not a full novel, detailing what has gone down in the last 30 years. Showing us Luke and Ben's relationship, and introducing us into the Jedi academy they established.
Their outfits were also slightly inspired by the amazing art from Venamis.
I know it doesn't look like I've made much progress for having an entire free day to do it, but it's been a very frustrating build experience. I actually built those segments that loop under the armpits, only to find that I didn't make the loop exaggerated enough, and whenever I rested my arms by my sides, they broke under the pressure. Also, things just started to fall apart in general, such as a the entire bottom of the backpack, and the joints between the front and back of the suit also started cracking, so I had to resort to some extreme measures that I am ashamed of: I used glue, LOTS of glue, and so far it's worked pretty well. But I guess I can't do a good balance of aesthetics and durability. Well, you should DEFINiTELY expect this to be done by tomorrow. I swear.

Silly, quick photo done this morning because I have this outfit and I HAD to use it for a shot. Didn't bother too much with editing on this one, just done for kicks.
This is a different lock for a different gate from the one previously posted. In fact, there are six locks attached to the gate. Various people and organizations are authorized to open this gate, so long as they don't let the cows out.
The shadows cloak all but the Sith's glowing yellow eyes. A hum thrums beneath the cold creaking of the battlestation.
A Padawan and her droid stand at the ready, lightsaber drawn and pointed at the Sith Lady. "You won't escape this place, Talon" she says stoically.
A cold, almost mechanical cackle fractures the monotony. "Escape? Why would I need to escape?" The crackle of her blood red lightsaber igniting sends the Padawans hairs standing on end.
In a flash the Sith Lady slides inside of the Padawans defenses, batting the new lightsaber away. Her hand clenches into a fist as the droid is crumpled like a small ball of paper and the heel of her boot sends the youngling reeling.
The Padawan can't believe what's happening before her, barely able to breath from the heavy blow to her chest. She tries to reach for her lightsaber...
The Dark Lady tosses the droid aside like a plaything as her wrist snaps and the Padawan is jerked to a halt mid-air. Slowly the Sith pulls the subdued Jedi closer.
"You bring these... toys. Trinkets of technology, playthings for children. You insult me with such..."
She glances at the scrap that used to be the droid.
"cheap imitations."
As her saber draws back, she looks upon the Jedi with feral anticipation and the ferocity of a Rancor. "A true master needs not such things, and a True Master... you have found. Today, we change the story."
The Padawan can only quietly accept her fate, as the darkness approaches and then is abruptly shattered with a bright red flash and sinister laugh...

WHOOOOO!!!! Ok, so I had to call my friend to get some of the story right. Hopefully I got it all LOL. The story is all me, but the world/characters was explained for me by my friend J. Anyways, I hope you enjoy!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Hi again everyone!
I'm finally back with another build even though it is quite a small one. I've actually had this built for ages but never got round to taking photos of it.
Despite the simplicity of this build, I am still pretty pleased with it. I tried to use some nice building techniques and pieces and am very happy with how the table and floor turned out.
I have also been working on some other creations but they are far from finished so I probably won't be uploading them for a while. Keep a look out for them though.
Anyway, enjoy!
