Jag måste erkänner att som en engleskman så går jag mot strömmen när det gäller te. Jag dricka inte det (eller kaffe, till och med!). Verkligen kan inte gilla det. Den sista gången jag drack te var många år sen och jag tillsatte massor av socker bara så att den kunde smaka lite bättre. Urgh!

I must confess that as an Englishman I go against the grain and don't drink tea (or coffee for that matter!). Can't stand the stuff. The last time I had a cuppa was years and years ago and to make it more drinkable I added loads of sugar. Urgh!
Today we safely arrived to our new home, after almost one week on the roads. Our old scooters was struggling but stubborn, without any big mishaps. By the way........ "New home" ? The only thing I can say is, that my granddads' brother was one big compulsive liar ! We thought he owned a Manor, which he bragged about every time we were in contact. Now I know why he always was busy or out of town, when we wanted to visit him. Well, he was odd...... but this is weird.
We arrived very early this morning, it is still dark. So we haven´t been able to make a proper look yet. But this is a hovel, and the garden is a scrap yard. But though we can´t return, we have to deal with it. So we broke in...... and after a primitive meal (some eggs and bacon) we laughed for a while and said :
- "It has to go. We have to try at least !"
Thank God I have Stella. Not everybody would take this situation like she did, and I probably should quail! Now we try to sleep a couple of hours on the old pallet sofa, and do a proper inspection of our heritage tomorrow in daylight.
Good night...... or rather morning !

Today we safely arrived to our new home, after almost one week on the roads. Our old scooters was struggling but stubborn, without any big mishaps. By the way........ "New home" ? The only thing I can say is, that my granddads' brother was one big compulsive liar ! We thought he owned a Manor, which he bragged about every time we were in contact. Now I know why he always was busy or out of town, when we wanted to visit him. Well, he was odd...... but this is weird.

U tišini mirnog jutra kod Punta Šila na otoku Krku, veselo narančasto plovilo u obliku ribe čeka nove putnike. Nije to obični brodić – ovo je podvodna čarolija s prozorima u dnu trupa, kroz koje turisti zaranjaju pogledom u morski svijet. Ponekad oko njega zaronjene plešu i "sirene" – ronilice koje dodatno obogaćuju ovu neobičnu morsku bajku. U pozadini – Krčki most kao čuvar ulaza u Kvarner. For a brief while our kitchen table was turned into a prison with one of my sons being held captive as the model and my wife on flash duty. I really need to invest in a boom arm for my flash stand to save my poor wife's arms!
Strobist info: A single Nissin Di700a flash was placed in a gridded softbox directly above the subject. A piece of paper was placed on the table, just out of view, for some fill light. Triggered by wireless remote.

In May, when this photo was taken, the reindeers have usually moved to the summer pasture further west. But this little group must have missed the move! And sometimes they have poor traffic sence.

För att bygga nytt måste det gamla bort... Jag har följt det här husets gradvisa förfall när jag cyklat till jobbet varje morgon. För två månader sedan bestämde jag mig för lämna mitt nuvarande jobb. Det var ett fruktansvärt svårt beslut eftersom jag trivts otroligt bra och haft så många fantastiska kollegor. Men ibland så måste man fatta svåra beslut för att komma vidare. Man river ner det man har, men sen bygger man upp någonting nytt.
To build a new house must tear down the old one ... I have followed this building's gradual decay when I went to work every morning. Two months ago I decided to leave my current job. It was a terribly difficult decision because I liked it there and I had so many wonderful colleagues. But sometimes you have to make difficult decisions in order to move on and develop; you tear down what you have, but then you build something new.
