I started on 'the big one' today - painting the skirting and banisters upstairs (well, and down I suppose). I worked for 7 hours on it, and didn't get finished. It's good to see the brown stained wood getting gradually covered over, though. I also discovered that masking tape is really good for getting up the fluff at the edges of the carpet!
I like to have the radio on while I paint, and in the afternoon I listened to Radio Wales on MW, as Lynn Bowles (traffic reporter from Radio 2) is doing a seven-week stint there with her own programme from 4 - 6.30pm. I enjoyed it.

Spray-painted a mountain-infested craft box to give A+L for Christmas so they'll stop swiping all my tape and glue. Filled it with every craft item known to man, then Lauren added to it with a fab selection of drawing+painting booty.

I had maybe 20 or so ginkgo leaves in my Bible from church down in Cabrini Green. But as I set out to leave more ginkgo leaves in Lincoln Square I didn't want to use my stash of leaves.
As I walked through the neighborhood in Lincoln Square to find a ginkgo tree that just released its leaves, I only had to walk one half block down Giddings Street to find this wonderful tree that had left a huge blanket of yellow ginkgo leaves on the grass.
I really like ginkgo leaves and to see such a collection of them is like finding a treasure chest of golden coins. I must have picked up like, 60 leaves and put them into a book. The following "Yellow Ginkgo Leaves on ___" photos you'll see taken in Lincoln Square, all came from this source.
