I'll see you all tomorrow for the event here in Montreal (link below). Not long after that is Toronto, Pittsburgh, Philly, Boston, then a gallery opening in Vegas. As for this photo, I took it this morning in Montreal at Notre-Dame. I've been to A LOT of cathedrals, but this one has perhaps the best backdrop (is that what's called?? who knows) that I've ever seen. It's probably tied with the backdrop of the cathedral in Lyon, France.

I had an amazing time at The Vessel in Hudson Yards at sunset. I probably walked up and down the stairs about 20 times to get different photos. I met a girl from Korea there while I heading upwards and she looked strangely at me... I asked why, and she said, "I thought all while people just took the elevator!"

Last night we had an amazing time exploring this incredible new structure in New York City. It's called The Vessel. Right before Burning Man, I'm heading to Las Vegas to do some speaking at my gallery opening there at Caesars Palace. I have works from Series 1 and some new works from Series 2. They look pretty sweet when they are printed out huge... just a little better than the tiny phone screen on Instagram! I hope to see you there. I know lots of Burners are in the area... The event is on Friday, August 16th at 6 PM.

I can't believe how much New York City has changed in just the last few years! I haven't been everywhere around the city, but we're getting most places... including spending a lot of time in Brooklyn, which has been awesome to explore. Just one night here then off to the event in Dallas - see you all there!

Pittsburgh! What a cool city... It was my first time here and I was really impressed! It's such a photogenic place. And, the food is amazing. I have never jammed so much Mexican food into my mouthhole before. And a big thanks to everyone that came out to the art talk there! The art talk at the Ritz-Carlton in Philly is coming up very soon... looking forward to that one as well!

Here's one of my favorite areas of Boston. The Paramount Theater and the Opera House. Just on the other side was the Ritz-Carlton where we had an amazing time. We're having a great time here in Sunny Florida! Today we're driving from Ft. Lauderdale to Orlando for the event there (sorry it's sold out). We have four days there then off to New York. Here's the incredible Oculus, which is right by the memorial for the Twin Towers. This was designed by Calatrava... I think the last Calatrava photo I posted was of that crazy glass bridge in Venice that is so dangerous (when it rains, tourists start slipping then fall into the canal somehow!)

On one of the evenings in Montreal, we were lucky enough to see the finale of the International Fireworks Competition. Man, this was quite a show! It went on for at least half an hour... The crowds were crazy. There must have been over 100,000 people there. There were lots of Canadians accidentally bumping into one another and saying, "Oh, sorry." I think I heard the word "sorry" more than fireworks exploding.

Thanks again Toronto! What a great city!! And thanks again for coming out to the art talk. Most cities are sold out, but, for whatever reason, Toronto was the very first city to sell out almost immediately after the announcement. There are lots of passionate photographers there, and after a few days in town now I know why! I'll post some favorite photos over the coming days. Next up is Philly, Boston, then Vegas!

I took this on the first night in New York. It was rainy and foggy and moody for the first few days... it gets you and your camera pretty wet, but it's still awesome. This is right by where we were staying at The Edition by the Flatiron Building.

Before beginning this tour across the USA and Canada I stopped in LA to see my friend Brandin Cooks (@TheArcher on Insta). I first met him when he visited me in New Zealand and he's since become an art collector. Here's one of my pieces from there hanging in his home. We both have a soft spot for that place! Brandin is also a good photographer so it was fun to walk around crazy Venice Beach with him to take photos. I tell ya, the CRAZIEST people in the world are drawn to Venice Beach. Wow... I had forgotten. Anyway, 10 more cities to visit on this tour. I think that my art talks in almost all the cities are sold out (we haven't announced the last 3 yet). Surprisingly (or maybe not??), Toronto was the first one to sell out! I guess those Canadians are just STARVED for entertainment... hehe, you know I don't mean that Toronto.

Here's Curtis and I making a Brazilian sandwich. That's just the way we roll here in Toronto! Haha... actually these two gentlemen are our old friends Rodrigo (www.instagram.com/rodrigopolesso) and Ricardo (www.instagram.com/ricardopolesso) - two brothers from Brazil that attended one of my first workshops in New Zealand. They both are extremely popular in Brazil... they do a ton of photo tutorials in Portuguese and are sort of the "Brazilian Trey Ratcliffs" haha - well, except they have much better bodies than the actual Trey Ratcliff.
