JUBA, 28 SEPTEMBER 2023: A cross section of youth activists have come together at a forum hosted by the UNMISS Human Rights Division and the Commission on Human Rights in South Sudan (CHRSS) in South Sudan’s capital, Juba, to discuss their active participation in ongoing peace processes as this young nation strives to complete its democratic transition by holding its first-ever national elections in December 2024.

The 75-day countdown is a global campaign marking 75 years of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which enshrines the rights of all human beings and is a global blueprint for international, national, and local laws and policies and a bedrock of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

The informative and interactive forum was co-chaired by the South Sudan Youth Organizations Coalition.
