I decided to go for a stroll last night and ended up power walking for 15 miles? The weather was perfect for the drone so I let her off the lead and sent her across the River Mersey for a spot of sightseeing on the Liverpool waterfront.

Sunset on what was a really hot day in the UK with temperatures reaching the mid 30's and beyond. Taken at New Brighton Merseyside looking out to the Irish Sea from the River Mersey.

A dawn visit to Liverpool Marina warrants a shot or two of a very quiet Royal Albert Dock, 2 days before Christmas.

A gentle hush settles over the harbor as wooden piers stretch across calm waters, leading to boats quietly waiting for their next journey. The rugged shoreline, guarded by ancient rocks, stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of the Swedish Coast. Wild grasses and distant cottages add a touch of warmth to the tranquil scene, where every detail invites you to pause and savor the serenity of Nordic life.

Thank you so much for your continued support and encouragement. Every view, fave, and comment from this wonderful community truly inspires me to keep capturing and sharing these peaceful moments from the Swedish coast. Your appreciation makes the journey even more meaningful, and I'm grateful to share these scenes with you.

A calm, glorious pre Christmas night at The Royal Albert Dock in Liverpool, England UK.

A merging of the blues and yellows, quite appropriate for Liverpool right now.

A panoramic shot of sunrise over the River Mersey from New Brighton looking over to Liverpool, a very intense experience but very short lived.

Taken only a few years ago but a sadder sight today with the loss of the Mersey Lightship, taken away never to be seen in her rightful place again.

Disney Cruises, vessel "Disney Magic" glides silently into, Liverpool bringing a splash of colour to a grey morning. I love the look of this ship.

"Do you have an anchor? I have found that a solid anchor is indispensable to one who intends to live life fully. To have an anchor is to be centered and well grounded. It is to have a vital spiritual base." -Steve Goodier, Joy Along The Way: Sixty Second Readings That make the Trip Worthwhile.

I haven't read this book but I am intrigued and I shall look for it over the holidays as a possible read during the upcoming Polar Vortex. Meanwhile, this lovely scene was taken in Rusticoville, PEI on our summer holidays this year. I just love the rainbow of colors.

Sunset over Burbo Bank Windfarm and the neighbouring windfarms off the Welsh coast in the Irish Sea, taken from the sandbanks off New Brighton during the ebbing tide.

The River of Light Festival 2021, at Liverpool's Royal Albert Dock Complex on the cities iconic waterfront.

The clouds reflection on the River Mersey caused me to stop my flight coming back from Tranmere Oil Terminal to Kings Dock on Liverpool's waterfront, I'm loving the fact that this huge land mass is compressed into a wedge.

MSC, Container Ship, "MSC Mariagrazia," built in 2024 with a total length of 366 meters, appears from the dark of the mouth of the River Mersey and prepares for berthing at Liverpool 2 Container Terminal. One of the largest of the MSC fleet to berth at the city of Liverpool and one of the newest and state of the art vessels in the fleet.

When you leave the long tunnel back into the light, you will normally feel a huge urge to be creative, ideas just drop into place and the excitement to produce "something" is too much to ignore. Never planned, just created.

Exploring the wild northern shores of Bréhat Island, I discovered a dramatically different face from the famous "Island of Flowers" that most visitors know. Away from the colorful gardens and charming harbors, this rugged coastline reveals the raw, untamed beauty that defines the true character of Brittany's islands.

I was captivated by these monumental granite chaos formations, sculpted by millennia of Atlantic storms into natural sculptures of incredible power and beauty. The contrast between the soft green maritime grass and these massive stone sentinels creates a landscape that feels both ancient and eternal.

The threatening sky that day seemed perfectly suited to this wild setting, adding a dramatic backdrop that emphasized the elemental forces at work here. This is the Bréhat that locals know - where nature reigns supreme and the granite bones of Brittany are laid bare for all to see.

My intention was to reveal this hidden aspect of one of Brittany's most beloved islands, showing that beyond the postcard prettiness lies a landscape of raw beauty and geological wonder that speaks to the soul of Celtic Brittany and its eternal dialogue with the sea.

Standing on the windswept cliffs of Ouessant at golden hour, I was overwhelmed by the raw power and beauty of this legendary island at the edge of Europe. Known as the "end of the world" to sailors, Ouessant has always fascinated me with its dramatic granite coastline sculpted by centuries of Atlantic storms.

I positioned myself to capture both the iconic Stiff lighthouse and the spectacular chaos of granite formations that make this coastline so treacherous and beautiful. The lighthouse, standing sentinel over these dangerous waters, represents humanity's eternal struggle against the sea's power - a beacon of hope in one of the world's most challenging maritime environments.

The golden light transforming the harsh granite into warm honey tones felt symbolic of Ouessant's dual nature - both forbidding and enchanting. These jagged rocks that have claimed countless ships also create some of Europe's most spectacular coastal scenery.

My intention was to capture the essence of this mythical place where land meets ocean in its most dramatic form, honoring both the natural beauty and maritime heritage that define Ouessant's unique character in the Celtic imagination.

Everton Football Club's new stadium nearing completion on the waterfront at Liverpool. It's looking quite fitting. UNESCO, you know not what you're talking about.

A mono conversion of a previously uploaded image. I cherish this picture due to the abscence of the Mersy Bar Lightship which was towed away a few years back, she give the scene historical significance and nothing was brought in to replace her. We need another classic ship on this berth.

The magnificent Royal Liver Building on the Liverpool waterfront looking down river towards the Irish Sea.

A inscrição destaca:

"Na praia lá da Boa Nova, um dia,

Edifiquei (foi esse o grande mal)

Alto Castelo, o que é a fantasia,

Todo de lápis-lazúli e coral!"

Este local é um marco simbólico da relação entre a paisagem marítima e a obra de António Nobre, refletindo a nostalgia e a imaginação do autor.

If this was a picture in the game Dingbats then the title is the answer.

The dockers clock on Liverpool's North docks famed for its six clock faces stands proud on the banks of the River Mersey with Anfield Stadium in the background.

Prince Edward Island is a storybook colour palette with the bluest skies you've ever seen, the greenest potato fields, the reddest soil and golden wheat beyond compare.

The beaches are world class.

A couple of days ago, we went for a hike along the North Sea on the Belgian coast. It had been a while since we’d had such beautiful weather. The sky was actually too plain to make for great photos, and I was starting to accept that today just wasn’t the day for a "master shot." But then, I noticed this elderly couple slowly walking along a path by the sea and dunes. The warm, golden light of the late afternoon lit up the dunes beautifully, complementing the blue of the sea and the sky. And something about the couple —I t was just so heartwarming.

All of it together made for a scene that I really loved.

"Sailing" - Rod Stewart

I am sailing

I am sailing

Home again

'Cross the sea

I am sailing,

Stormy waters

To be near you,

To be free

I am flying,

I am flying

Like a bird

'Cross the sky

I am flying,

Passing high clouds

To be with you,

To be free
