Marie, last Thursday, at lunch. She is now 91 and as "mahrvelous" as ever. I bumped into her Thursday noon, told her I was going to her favorite restaurant for lunch, she said I'm coming with, went home, touched up her nail polish (she has Alicia Alonso hands) and met me at the lobby an hour later.

She is so fabulous, she even has a table and a cocktail named after her at Tulio.

Marie Galante is a small French island in the archipelago of Guadeloupe (French West Indies), in the Caribbean sea. Wild and undeveloped, she kept an authentic lifestyle.

This view of Les Saintes (another island of the archipelago) was that we had, my friends and myself, from the beach where we had a drink with local rum.

Marie Galante est une petite île française de l'archipel de la Guadeloupe, dans les Antilles. Sauvage et peu développée, elle a gardé un style de vie authentique.

Cette vue sur Les Saintes (autre île de l'archipel) était celle que nous avions, mes amis et moi même, depuis la plage où nous prenions l'apéritif avec du rhum local.
