Please get out and tell your government you care about FACTS and TRUTH.
PS: This is an endothelial cell grown in the lab. These are the cells that comprise the inner lining of your blood vessels. The yellow color marks the structures these cells use to grab to each other. In blue we can see the actin cytoskeleton (the structure that determines the cell shape and allows it to move) and in grey is the nucleus, where all the DNA information is stored.
This image made the cover of the Journal of Biological Chemistry many years ago.
Original magnification: 630:1
To give you an idea of size, the grey nucleus has a diameter of about 1/50th of a millimeter.

As seen during the March for Science in New York City, Earth Day, 22 April 2017. This was the view at Times Square where the march ended. In this shot you can see the Styrofoam giants that the girls were holding up, on the one the sign says, "Teaching Kids that Science Matters"
This is the earliest that I've been to Yosemite. Typically I've gone in Summer, and once in the middle of May. But this was the first time the waterfalls were overflowing with water, and the people sure did come in droves to see it. Earth Day sure didn't disappoint. My wife and I were fortunate enough to participate in the Rally for Science and marched with hundreds of others to encourage the White House to make sure they realize that the environment comes before people. Nature was here before us, and it'll be here after us.
I think my favorite protest sign was, "I can't believe I'm marching for facts!"
