a mixed flock of Grackles, Blackbirds and Cowbirds have come back to the meadow area. The sounds are amazing as at least a hundred birds enjoyed this 43 degree day. I might be from the West Coast, but this is feeling mighty Spring-like in my book!
By the way, is anyone else struggling with getting their shots uploaded? I could not post yesterday....

I'd been looking at things in the apartment that I could use for today's theme, but having gone out for a lovely walk this morning, found these Crocuses and thought they looked far better than anything I'd have found at home.

Since the male Linnet turned up in the garden last month, I've been waiting for the females to turn up.
They didn't disappoint. In fact, they arrived with more males so now there are at least 3 males and 3 females visiting the feeders.
I feel so lucky that these summer visiting non - garden birds use my garden for food before going off to breed on the heath. They have done so for several years now.
Beautiful colour down at the lower car park. Growing in one of the gardens that surround the car park.

A female Northern Pintail gives us a graceful landing, quite often they land, drop their feet back and belly-flop forward, this gal has style she stayed on her feet :)
