We had to clear a way, but we found them. When I witnessed the sun and warmth return I knew they had to be there... These tiny yellow flowers are the first sign of spring in these parts. And my mother's garden, with the lovely southern sunlight, always discovers them first. We aren't sure the name of these beauties (the arrive before the crocuses!), but we do know they are our gift from God of brighter days ahead. Of warmth and light, of rolling up our sleeves and hanging upside down in the tree swing, of running barefoot and dining al fresco... Out of the dormant, dull earth, comes golden glow and anticipation of promise fulfillment - hope and joy!

Sisterhood. One relationship I may never fully grasp since I didn't, myself, have one growing up.
