The view of the former Mapperley Hospital or as it was formerly known, Nottingham Borough Lunatic Asylum. Built in the 1800's by George Thomas Hine and opened in 1880 it was where I did my work experience at school doing work as a yardsman and caretaker which didn't last long as the place scared the crap out of me. It closed as a mental hospital in 1990 although still operates as a hospital of some description. This is the view of it from Carlton, Huckerbys Field.

First walk of the year of to a bad start took wrong turn after less than a mile and had to almost get back to start to continue. Ended up with blisters which i don’t normally get, but first warm day of the year and not at work so no worries.
A main road in Nottingham. Unusually peaceful, since this road is mainly packed with cars desperately trying to get home.
Taken with an F6.5 aperture with a -0.7 exposure. Levels edited on Photoshop and two images merged together to create panorama.
