I was always fond of the CN map logo from the mid-90s being a geography major in college, and its a shame that they got rid of it after only a few years. Now working for the Heart of Georgia, the map is still holding up pretty nice on this former DT&I unit tied down for the weekend at Vidalia.
Africa of course with Europe in the background - built in a small lake at the village KLEJTRUP in northern Jutland, Denmark (It's NOT Google-earth!)
This is a clean version of an FAA graphic I saw in the pilot's room at the Moffett Field flight center, and I love it... it's a visual guide to the air traffic routes used at various aiports around the San Francisco Bay Area.
It also does a lot to explain all the air traffic I see above our home... turns out, we live beneath three major flightpaths. From the ground it all seems somewhat random, but now that I've seen this route plan, the orientation and altitudes of the planes I see over our house every day make a lot more sense.

Thượng đế biết ta sinh ra là để giành cho nhau :)

* Em yêu . . .

“Sanitary & Topographical Map of the City and Island of New York," first published in 1865, and now called the "Viele Map", which shows his survey of the original streams, marshes and coastline of New York City, superimposed over the street grid. The map is still used by modern geotechnical engineers, structural engineers and planners to design the foundations of new buildings and structures in the city.

What appears to be a cartoon-ish, clown-like head on top of a post is actually the scanning device for the Apple Maps car, stopped mid-motion by the short exposure duration. The car is a Subaru Impreza.

Happy Telegraph Tuesday!
Map of the former Bradlees store in Marlton, NJ. The aisles on an angle were leftover from the store's days as Jefferson Ward, part of their "new slant on shopping". This store operated as Bradlees from early 1986 to mid 1996.
Yellowstone prepared an Environmental Assessment to evaluate potential impacts and determine if the park should authorize a right-of-way (ROW) permit from Diamond Communications, LLC. to install a fiber optic cable along 187 miles of park roads. This map is of the proposed fiber optic network service locations in the park.

The last group of uploads before I set off on another trip tomorrow.
All these were seen at the far end of where we walked, around the spot we were having our picnic lunch.
This was one of the highlights for me of the trip and this photo made my trip 'montage' (I am not sure this is the correct term). I was alone when I spotted it though several others came running when they knew. It stayed still for me but was less cooperative when the others arrived. No one was anywhere near me when I first saw it or even heard my shouts.
This is the only map butterfly I have ever photographed that was in good condition.
