A single red maple leaf, 🍁 fallen on the worn bench, rests like a silent flame, whispering the grace of autumn and the gentle surrender of fall. From my archive of autumn 2024.

Red Japanese maple tree leaves

Weekly Theme Challenge-Cold

Fenced Friday

I actually saw this Maple Leave drop down through the air and it's stem stuck into the snow in the birdbath. I thought "how cool!"

This beautiful tree is in my neighborhood, so you can get some lovely shots while walking around. I am partial to red in the landscape.

This is why the our flag has a red maple leaf on it.

Maple at Glenbrook Oval

Maple leaves - Japan

A maple in peak color. Processed from a single raw file. The sun burst from the Canon EF 16-35 f4 L is amazing and adds an attractive point to the photo.

I saw this maple on the way to a restaurant. After lunch, I went back alone to explore for a composition. I tried many shots and finally found the best result from backlight lightening the red maple leaves. This experience reminds me that there might be a lot to explore in the neighborhood. You don't always have to travel far to get something spectacular.

“Maples Trees” never disappoint in the fall. It’s a shame that colors in Fall are only temporary. Using photography to safe what we love most about the four seasons. Thanks for viewing my work. Stay safe and be kind.

I just went back to the Oregon Coast, second trip this month, with some friends from Texas. On our way back we stopped in Portland and I finally got to see the famous maple at the Japanese Gardens. I see why it's so popular!

In between packing, I had a sec so I thought I'd upload another image for you.

Japanese maple leaves from our tree fallen on the fence between our and the neighbour's yard. HFF!

Every year, my green-leaf Japanese maple tree almost always turned from green to brown overnight. But the weather this year has been extraordinary. I am so happy to see its rare golden colors.
