Map showing Bangladesh and surrounding countries with international borders, the national capital, major cities, main roads, and railroads.
Through The Right Brain Initiative, 3rd graders at Sitton Elementary in North Portland worked with visual artist Sarah Ferguson of Young Audiences. Students explored Oregon history through mapmaking and clay. Here, they collaborate on a clay mural that depicts Oregon geography. Equipped with the tools of critical thinking and creativity, the students created maps, illustrated features, and devised a legend.

Egged on by Catriona I deployed a very "Heath Robinson" moth trap last night. The problem this morning was getting them on to something photogenic.. most took off! But I was pleased it worked. This was not the sharpest!
Have a look at Catriona's lovely images www.flickr.com/photos/catriona_pictures/ and the super selection of beautiful moths that she has trapped (and set free of course!!)

Last time I announced that this year I will crack the '500' to my world map puzzle collection.
These 500 items include some map puzzles which were redesigned or 'beautyfy' with some stickers / disney players. So I was wondering if I should banish them from my collection.
For me as a collector it's important to have a well-defined collecting field. And actually, I want to collect "jigsaw puzzles showing the world before 1946" and not a vintage map with Donald or Goofy.
What do you think? Maybe you can help me!
A Map of the Lower Blackfoot Ecosystem Analysis at the Watershed Scale that displays Bureau of Land Management ownership in 1984. In the 1970s, the Missoula Field Office was part of a visionary team that established the Blackfoot Challenge to coordinate resource management across all ownerships in the Blackfoot watershed, which resulted in a plan to acquire the private timberlands into public ownership. In the mid-90s, the BLM owned only 40 acres of land on the Blackfoot River.
