A Map of the Lower Blackfoot Ecosystem Analysis at the Watershed Scale that displays Bureau of Land Management ownership in 1984. In the 1970s, the Missoula Field Office was part of a visionary team that established the Blackfoot Challenge to coordinate resource management across all ownerships in the Blackfoot watershed, which resulted in a plan to acquire the private timberlands into public ownership. In the mid-90s, the BLM owned only 40 acres of land on the Blackfoot River.

Edited map of Cassini images of Saturn's moon Mimas.
Original caption: This global map of Saturn's moon Mimas was created using images taken during Cassini spacecraft flybys. The moon's large, distinguishing crater, Herschel, is seen on the map at left.
The map is an equidistant (simple cylindrical) projection and has a scale of 710 feet (216 meters) per pixel at the equator. The mean radius of Mimas used for projection of this map is 123.2 miles (198.2 kilometers). The resolution of the map is 16 pixels per degree.
This product is an update to the map released in August 2012 (see PIA14926). The update includes new images for almost half of the moon's surface, with new images from two close flybys, in Nov. 2016 and Feb. 2017. The moon's western hemisphere, south pole and parts of the eastern hemisphere received updates in this version.
The Cassini-Huygens mission is a cooperative project of NASA, the European Space Agency and the Italian Space Agency. The Jet Propulsion Laboratory, a division of Caltech in Pasadena, manages the mission for NASA's Science Mission Directorate, Washington, D.C. The Cassini orbiter and its two onboard cameras were designed, developed and assembled at JPL. The imaging operations center is based at the Space Science Institute in Boulder, Colo.

Are maps obselete yet? Well, if you have a GPS, they are. But travel addicts tend to keep them so they can remember where they have been. I think we have a whole new generation that can't properly fold a road map, but maybe we never had a generation that could. So maps just accumulated as a wad in the door pocket of the car. These were in a box in the basement.
The floor mosaic is located in the apse of the church of Saint George at Madaba. It is not oriented northwards, like modern maps, but faces east towards the altar in such a fashion that the position of places on the map coincides with the actual compass directions. Street map of Ayamonte.
I've been trying to work out which stadium this is, because it doesn't belong to Ayamonte CF, as theirs is further down the coast, but on GoogleMaps the satellite view doesn't show this area as having a stadium.
The background is a constellation map from National Geographic. The boy on the tractor is my son in law's father. The stars are highlighted with Diamond Stickles.
I found a map of Missouri on Flickr that had the north and south parts shown seperately. I combined them.

Way less sexy than the previous couple so far, but I had no idea how brushes or clipping masks worked correctly in Illustrator.
Also, this is a very cool way of learning how to do what looks like a double-stroke.
