My tiny little helpers from little world gave me once more a helping hand. They did the presets for my last manual focus shooting. :)

Die kleinen Helferlein aus little world haben mir ein weiteres Male geholfen. Diesesmal stellten Sie für mich die Blende an einer MF Linse ein. :)

This lovely cyan glass vase is textured / kind of multi-faceted and has a golden coloured handle ... so perfect to get some bubbly bokeh with the vintage Oreston
Hope you have an enjoyable weekend

Though I do have technologically advanced cameras, I tend to prefer older cameras (all these are second-hand cameras with a 16MP sensor) and use them manually. I am not rejecting technological excellence and sophisticated algorithms. All I am saying is that I have more joy when working manually and that Fuji's old 16MP sensor is really good enough for my purposes. This shot was done with my new (ten year old) Fuji X-Pro1.

Another attempt with this old manual lens. There are some C/A tracks on contours, but the total result is good. (Small white points are by light rain drops, not lens fault)
Some of you may remember that I did a Bokeh Madness series at the end of last year ("7 days of Bokeh Madness"). I certainly won't be able to repeat that as I have too much on my plate at the moment, but a little bokeh party here and there in the course of the next few days / weeks might lift my spirits a little ... so here we go : ))
Happy Bokeh Madness Sunday

To be honest, I prefer the Auto setting on my camera. I have taken photo after photo for this challenge and just cannot create what I see in my mind's eye. This is one of the better results using manual.

Those of you who have seen my macros have already observed that I like the 'dreamy' look. That is, feature a little segment of the subject and the rest is just 'color', more or less.
This fruit and flower were growing on a pomegranate tree on our rural property, I brought them indoors to light and photograph where it's easier to control the light.
Lighting stuff: This was a two light setup using Yongnuo manual strobes in 8.6 inch Lastolite soft boxes positioned in front of the flowers, on both sides, and pointing at the center at a 45 degree angle for even lighting. The strobes and my tripod mounted camera were triggered with a Yongnuo RF-603N.
Other plants, flowers, fruit or thingys that I've photographed using strobes can be seen in my Strobe Lit Objects album. For each image in the set, and there are over 2000 of them, I describe how I set up the lighting for that particular shot. www.flickr.com/photos/9422878@N08/sets/72157628079460544/
This stalk came from a succulent plant growing in a pot in the garden.
Lighting stuff: The main light was a Yongnuo manual flash in an 8.6 inch Lastolite soft box on a light stand at camera left and just out of the frame. Fill light came from a mirror at camera right and a second Yongnuo Flash in a Rogue grid also at camera right. The strobes and tripod mounted camera were triggered with a Yongnuo RF-603N.

Sorry about all the dandelion shots ... lockdown means still lifes, or garden shots, or ... still lifes in the garden!!! Yesterday, I was experimenting with different manual focus lenses ... hence all the dandelion shots.
