making stuff around the shop

On the Dal House Forum we're celebrating Dal's 10th anniversary all year long with various monthly events. For July we're making stamps. I grabbed some of my fav Dal photos and turned them into stamps using BigHugeLabs stamp framer: bighugelabs.com/frame.php

I need one that lets me do portrait oriented photos, because I don't see any option to change the orientation on framer and instead it crops it. That didn't work for some of the photos I wanted to use.

As the massive 4-8-4 backs up to its awaiting train at the Reading Outer Station, just north of Reading, Pennsylvania, a few railfans get their cameras out to capture the moment that Reading 2102 arrives. Among the crowd, railroad photographer and videographer Mark, MPT Productions on YouTube, makes last second adjusts to his camera setup in order to capture 2102s arrival.

Work a little harder at meditation and it comes. You do not feel the body or anything else. When you come out of it after the hour, you have had the most beautiful rest you ever had in your life. That is the only way you ever give rest to your system.

Here at Chiot's Run we LOVE cranberry relish when it comes to Thanksgiving Day meals. I make a big batch each year and we take some to all of our holiday gatherings. It's a quick and easy side dish and it really adds a great flavor to your turkey meal. Here's my favorite recipe: notdabblinginnormal.wordpress.com/2010/11/24/cranberry-ap...

A big-eyed sand flea, or beach hopper or sand hopper, or beach flea or whatever you like to call them...

These are shots of our local blue-eyed, big-eyed beach hoppers. They like damp sand and if you are digging a hole on the beach, you are likely to come across one or two. They also like it under piles of seaweed or driftwood logs. (Anywhere the sun can't dry them or their sand burrows out!!)

These ones are only a little over a centimeter long. When disturbed they frantically hop and scurry like crazed fleas. Their "cross-eyed" blue "googly eyes" help to give them that frantic crazed look.

...oh... and these creatures don't bite!
