On July 25, 2022, Union Pacific formally announced a makeover of its classic Armour Yellow and Harbor Mist Gray paint scheme. The first unit to receive the new look was SD70ACe No. 8620. Its first assignment was to lead the MNPRO 25 (North Platte - Roper) manifest, pictured in Roy, Utah on the Salt Lake Subdivision the morning of July 28, 2022.

A substantial puddle in the car park at Kingussie reflects I7C power car 43135 as it trails ScotRail's 1B44 1850 Inverness to Edinburgh service on the approach to the station. An old converted van, a Bedford perhaps, in an intriguing camo scheme slowly decays in the corner.

I gave my boyz a new hairstyle but its not permanent, I just put some accessories on their head and styled their hair. I really like it espcially the hair of David and Victor.
My Eitan, Dylan & Cameron did't get a makeover because their har was too short.

Last week Kenzie the dog and I decided to check out the recently refurbished covered bridge at Bridgeport. We are happy to report that the bridge looks fantastic in its new wardrobe of timber and shingles.
The bridge dates to 1862 and has the longest clear single span of any surviving wooden covered bridge in the world--pretty cool beans for our little county. The bridge was an important link in the Virginia Turnpike allowing freight wagons to cross the river to take supplies to the mining operations in the California Mother Lode and the Nevada silver mines. It seems funny in this day and age that a small mountain river could form a significant barrier to transportation back in the day. But, I've never tried to negotiate a fully loaded horse drawn freight wagon across a rapidly flowing river during winter either. Maybe I should rent me a team of horses and a wagon and give er a try.

The sculpture of Minerva was part of a makeover for number 1 Minster Gates and the adjoining 38 High Petergate. The 15th century timber frame building was rebuilt as a pair of houses in the late 18th century but the ground floor was made into a shop, the work being recorded as "newly done" in 1804. The shop was the base of a well known seller of books and prints. Part of the original signage survives in the painted window above the door. Drawn with a Staedtler Graphite 0.3mm pencil in an A4 sketchbook.

Our makeover was sleeker hair! I talked to jack and a slight curl on the ends was perfectly fine. :-)
I was planning to catch a gray ghost leader here but... a pair of NS units ain't so bad I guess. CPKC 641 passes by the train depot in Buffalo. The Buffalo depot recently got a fresh coat of paint, surprised they didn't update the signage to CPKC in the process though.
Our completed facelift. The bamboo roman shades were added just last night to finish the job off. We could not be happier.

Taco Salad Makeover

Ingredients
4 medium flour tortilla(s), 6-inch
16 oz 95% lean/5% fat raw ground beef
1 Tbsp chili powder
1/2 cup salsa
1 cup canned kidney beans, drained and rinsed
4 cup lettuce
1/2 cup shredded fat-free cheddar cheese
1 cup tomato(es), chopped
8 Tbsp fat-free sour cream
Instructions
PREHEAT oven to 425F. Crumple four large sheets of foil to make four 3-inch balls; place on baking sheet. Place 1 tortilla on top of each ball; spray tortilla with cooking spray. Bake 6 to 8 min. or until tortillas are golden brown. (Tortillas will drape over balls as they bake.)
MEANWHILE, brown meat with chili powder in large nonstick skillet on medium-high heat, stirring occasionally. Add salsa and beans; cook until heated through, stirring occasionally.
PLACE 1 tortilla shell on each of four serving plates. Fill evenly with lettuce, meat mixture, cheese and tomatoes. Top with 2 Tbsp of sour cream.
After months of being frustrated by falling in love with makeup that wasn't for my head, I finally took the plunge and got a Lelutka head. A few hours of tweaking and a Black Friday skin from Lara Hurley later, and this is the end result.
The dress was a Wanderlust weekend sale find from deviousMind, and it came with the adorable little top hat!
I inherited this old Lloyd Loom chair, it was a bit tatty and desperately needed some TLC.
So I gave it a little Makeover with fabric and yarn and lots of love...
