If you have forgotten or this is your first time viewing my photostream: Things That Make No Sense are just that, assorted bits of amusement for nothing more than visual curiosity and my idea of what I call art or abstract art. Now a series of sorts, the series is interrupted with photographs that do make sense, or at least make sense to me. That being said, most know how I feel when it comes to Trump so I prepared this SPECIAL EDITION just to try and capture our president striped bare with all his lies. I hope everyone has voted by now but if you haven't, please cast your vote for the future of this great nation and not just along party lines. Our country is so much better than what this troll has to offer.

Storm passing through Alabama. Lightning is a sudden electrostatic discharge occuring typically during a thunderstorm. This discharge occurs between electrically charged regions of a cloud (called intra-cloud lightning or IC), between two clouds (CC lightning), or between a cloud and the ground (CG lightning).
In Grass Lake, MI (just east of Jackson) an old schoolhouse has a large sign with the Trump 2020 campaign slogan, “Keep America Great”
A Squirrel Nut Zipper is a delicious vanilla nut caramel, first introduced in 1926 by the Squirrel Brand Company whose primary products are nuts. Squirrel Brand's managers developed the formula for a vanilla nut caramel to complement their chocolate caramel candy. The only thing missing was a name. One of the managers came across an article in a local newspaper documenting the arrest for public drunkenness of a resident who had to be talked down from a tree by the police. When they got him down and asked him to explain himself he said "it must have been the Nut Zipper" referring to a local alcoholic concoction, popular then. Squirrel Brand's managers decided, this would be the perfect name for our new candy.
Mantises are an order (Mantodea) of insects containing over 2,400 species in about 430 genera in 15 families. The largest family is the Mantidae ("mantids"). Mantises are distributed worldwide in temperate and tropical habitats. They have triangular heads with bulging eyes supported on flexible necks. Their elongated bodies may or may not have wings, but all Mantodea have forelegs, greatly enlarged and adapted for catching and gripping prey; their upright posture, while remaining stationary with forearms folded, has led to the common name praying mantis. The closest relatives of mantises are the termites and cockroaches (Blattodea), which are all within the superorder Dictyoptera family.

The Shrine of Democracy in the Black Hills of South Dakota. These four Presidents of the United States of America made the foundation we once lived in. George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln were great leaders of this country that gave us the freedom we once enjoyed. Grow upon the history of this Great nation, Make America Great Again!
South Mission Street, the most-trafficked road in Isabella County, was nearly empty today except for this truck displaying a Trump 2020 election flag.
Text on the flag reads “Keep America Great,” an irony amidst the height of a pandemic caused by the Trump administration’s unwillingness to heed warnings about the disease. At present, 9,631 Americas have died from COVID-19 and the country is experiencing the highest rates of unemployment and greatest losses in the stock market in a century.
Apparently it's all about Cheese when it comes to electing Republican Presidents.

A mystery working at the time (July 2020) but with all this focus on the 2024 US Presidential Election it starts to makes sense, once you realise that the acronym for the yellow railborne cheese-scraping devices - HOBC - stands for Handling Oversize Block of Cheese.
In July 2020 in the lead-up to the American Presidential Election, these and many other similar wagons from across the UK were pooled at West Ealing in late summer prior to being shipped out to the states in an effort to aid the Republican effort to get incumbent President, Donald Trump, re-elected for a second term by touring marginal swing-states re-enforcing the Trump message to "Make America Grate Again" (his 2016 election slogan) and the message this time around to "Keep America Grate" (I think that might be Keep America 'Grating' Donald).
In opposition to Trump's message, the Democratic party backed their candidate, Joe Biden with the confusing "Our Best Days Still Lie Ahead" (ha, come on Joe, it doesn't even mention Cheese, amateur).
The Republican Party have a long history when it comes to election campaign slogans relating to a certain Dairy product, in 1980 Ronald Reagan's team went with "You can't make an Omelette without breaking some Cheese", however in a break with tradition in 1984 the rallying cry for Ronnie's successful re-election was "Did the earth move for you, Nancy?". A back-to-basics 1988 campaign saw George Bush Snr run with the simple but effective "I'm the Big Cheese" and with a slight adjustment in 2000 his son George Bush Jnr was duly elected with the mantra "I'm the Small Cheese".
For the sake of balance it should be pointed out that amazingly the Democratic Party have never had to resort to Dairy-based slogans in order to secure election to The White House, in 1992 Bill Clinton was successful with "Pick a Card, any Card" and was re-elected for a second term with "Close that Window, there's a Draft in here" whilst Barack Obama triumphed in 2008 with "I'm an American, honest!" and in confident mood in 2012 went simply with "Go on America, you know you want to" (wink).
