This sunset was taken a couple of nights ago with my phone, looking forward to a cool change!
Many thanks for your visits, kind comments and faves, very much appreciated.
Once just a great surf beach, over the last four decades the once modest settlement of holiday houses called 'Surfers Paradise' has become a city in its own right. It is about 100 kms south-east from Brisbane, the capital of Queensland. This surf city is the tourist mecca of the Australian surf, on the east coast.

This sunrise at Laguna Beach was the best of the 5 mornings I spent in California. It was a treat I shared with several other photographers!
The lifeguard tower at Laguna Beach awaits a December sunrise. We just returned from a wonderful Connectictut Christmas - so nice to visit with family. Lots of photos taken too, but they will have to wait until I finish what was taken in California.
Taking a few days off of Flickr to enjoy Christmas with family. Wishing all my Flickr friends a wonderful holiday season!
Remnants of Cyclone Seth pound the coast of Minjerribah. Cloud makes for a grey day but sun light finally breaks through on an almost abandoned Main Beach.
Enjoying the beautiful and dreamy view up Main Beach on a winter sunrise, from the cliff top boardwalk of about 1.5 kms at North Stradbroke Island (Queensland, Australia).
Very peaceful and relaxing to get out of bed, just up the road, and although a bit cold, soon warming up and having a great start to the day.
Hope it helps you to have a good morning to! All the best! :-)
