“When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants and murderers, and for a time, they can seem invincible, but in the end, they always fall. Think of it--always.”

Truth is always like oil on water,
no matter how much water you add to depress it,
it always flows on top.

I have been so busy and lacking a bit for inspiration. My husband bought me some tulips, which are my favorite flower for Valentine's Day. I was sitting there gazing at then and noticed the little drops in the glass and thought it was very pretty. It gave me the push I needed to take some pictures. :)
The Mahatma did not live to see the time when his ideas of non-violent resistance were foreign and failed. And even his country - India, created an atomic bomb, which he considered a "weapon of hell."
Махатма не дожив до часу, в якому його ідеї ненасильницького спротиву виявилися хибними і потерпіли крах. І навіть його країна - Індія створила атомну бомбу, яку він вважав «зброєю пекла».

Mohandas K. Gandhi is a 1988 bronze sculpture of Mahatma Gandhi sculpted by Zlatko Paunov and Steven Lowe. It is located in the plaza to the northeast of the San Francisco Ferry Building along the Embarcadero in San Francisco, California, United States. The 8-foot (2.4 m) tall sculpture is mounted on a block which bears a plaque, raised on two steps. It was a gift from the Gandhi Memorial International Foundation.
Gandhi is commonly known in India and around the world with the honorific Mahatma Gandhi (Sanskrit: महात्मा mahātmā — "Great Soul") and as Bapu (Gujarati: બાપુ bāpu — "Father"). In India, he is recognised as the Father of the Nation by all Indians and 2 October, his birthday, is commemorated each year on Gandhi Jayanti, a national holiday.
The sculpture is a known target for vandalism; the eyeglasses are the most-stolen item, and the staff has been broken on several occasions.
The photo shows a sculpture of Gandhi without glasses stolen by vandals.

“Promise Yourself
To be so strong that nothing
can disturb your peace of mind.
To talk health, happiness, and prosperity
to every person you meet.
To make all your friends feel
that there is something in them
To look at the sunny side of everything
and make your optimism come true.
To think only the best, to work only for the best,
and to expect only the best.
To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others
as you are about your own.
To forget the mistakes of the past
and press on to the greater achievements of the future.
To wear a cheerful countenance at all times
and give every living creature you meet a smile.
To give so much time to the improvement of yourself
that you have no time to criticize others.
To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear,
and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.
To think well of yourself and to proclaim this fact to the world,
not in loud words but great deeds.
To live in faith that the whole world is on your side
so long as you are true to the best that is in you.”

Hier in seinem Refugium wurde er ermordet, auf dem Wege der Meditation.

I decided to create a new signature and drew on the inspiration of many flickrites. For those interested in creating their own signature, this was done using mylivesignature and then tweaked in Photoshop :).
