Someone gave my father a magnifying glass for his birthday. Grace loved it and listened when I told her to look through it.
Through the magnifying glass:
I found a box of my old plastic soldiers from probably 45 years ago. I was inspired to take some photographs through a magnifying glass by my good flickr friend seriykotik1970 and this is what happened.

Rain and fog for the last few days have left the evergreens covered in drops, got wet walking through the woods, but thoroughly enjoyed it.
Another shot of one the Holly Blues, showing the oviposition. Whether I'll be able to spot the teeny eggs (0.6mm) is doubtful (unless I take a magnifying glass 😊, and that would be more evidence for the locals that I am very weird).
The temperature outside, as I post this image, is 10F, or -12C. So, I found a photo from warmer times, when water was liquid.
Now I feel better! LOL
Macro Mondays - Glass
My magnifying glass that I need to read the 4 point fonts that companies use for printed instructions (or warnings).
It seems there are millions of Haystack Rock images floating around this world, but you just can't go to Cannon Beach, Oregon without grabbing one yourself. In fact, you may see a few more of these from me. This particular sea stack is 235 feet (72 meters) in height and is accessible by foot at low tide which you see here.
If we magnified blessings as much as we magnify disappointments, we would all be much happier.

Light painting with haze effects, using diffusion-fx from www.colouredsmoke.com.au . With the smoke slowly drifting down the tunnel in the direction of the camera, this created a wall of smoke that projected my shadow in a magnified manner.
Backlit using a Convoy L6 flashlight (on medium mode) on a tripod. Smoke sprayed from the can whilst running to position from the camera (on 10sec timer) and during the 2 second exposure. Post processed from RAW exposure in Adobe Lightroom 6.
illuminating a one inch wide photo of my grandmother Lera (left) and her twin sister Lora (right). The were born June 17, 1898, so would be 101 years old today,,,
Happy Turkey Day, one and all. I'm thankful for all you crazy Flickrheads who come and peep my photostream day in and day out and write redonkulous comments that make me titter and snort and gurgle with hilarity. Enjoy your day, enjoy your turkey. It's unseasonably warm here (about 70 degrees), so I might go, I dunno, surfing or base jumping or something. Or maybe I'll just eat a bucket of turkey and pass out in a puddle of my own saliva. Hard to say.
