This plant of Iris magnifica is growing in a raised gravel bed in Derbyshire, England. The bed was designed to be covered in Summer but I have not done so for about five years. To the left and behind I magnifica are leaves of Oncocyclus hybrid Iris
Large Pansy Orchid .... I think
One of the first orchids we saw in Western Australia. I have not seen enough of these to tell the various species/hybrids apart, but thus flower was darker, had more elliptical sepals, and a flared/broad lip. All different colours and shape variations were present even in a single population.

Seedling of a totally gorgeous palm species endemic to New Caledonia where its status is classified as vulnerable by the IUCN. Slow growing but well worth the wait. Looks like a very refined Archontophoenix with a blue-gray crownshaft. New leaves are bright red too!
