ZEN MAGNETS - Neodymium Magnetic Balls (@600) - Geometry 7: Truncated Geometric Ball - (Detail: side view)
This is made entirely of a two layer stacked 5-ball pentagons modular. The larger modular rings turned out to be hexagon shaped. Was unable to get an all around ball shape with this go around.
(@060) = top = 2 layer ring of 6 x (5-ball pentagons)
(@060) = spacers = 6 x (2 layer ring of 1 x (5-ball pentagons)
(@360) = center = 6 x ( 2 layer ring of 6 x (5-ball pentagons))

A bunch of rare earth magnets, with their poles all pointing the same direction, are laid out on a table, are pushed close so they are under force from each other. Toss in an extra magnet...
Playing around with magnet paper. I had a preview comic with a few pages of Skydoll (it's being translated into English and sold in North America).
Pisces is a water sign and this soothing, peaceful magnet celebrates the 12th sign of the zodiac! It would look great on your refrigerator, in your bedroom, in your office or even in your car. It also makes a great gift for the Pisces in your life.
The lining is an abstract watercolor painting in blues, purples and greens, inside a round tin with a glass top. The word “Pisces” is on the inside of the glass, so handling won’t smudge it. Also on the inside are a sterling silver dolphin with spirals and a high quality, deep purple amethyst, both associated with Pisces. The outside is wrapped with blue ribbon.
The magnet is 2” (5.8 cm) across and 1” (2.5) deep.
This is the lovely magnet my friends Tahara, Neveah, and Drachen gave me for Christmas along with a lovely pot holder (not shown)

On Wednesday, May 30 a carnival-themed Magnet Redesignation Education Party was held at Children's Hospital Los Angeles to educate staff in a fun way about Magnet Recognition.
The town's leisure centre -- includes a 25 metre 8 lane swimming pool, a teaching and fun pool, 2 sports halls, gym and health suite.
This flat magnet is made from a high quality digital photo of one of my OOAK paper sculpture/mixed-media collage, The Horse Whisperer.
Surrounded by seahorses, she appears to be scanning the distance for something... maybe it’s a lost pirate (that resembles Orlando Bloom) looking to settle in a lovely beach home on the coast of Maine...
The magnet is 3x4 inches in size. The image is printed on a laserjet printer, on high quality semi glossy photo paper mounted on a magnetic sheet & covered with a plastic laminate. The plastic laminate protects the image allowing splatters & spills to be wiped off. But do not submerse it in water; it is not waterproof (like a real mermaid!)
The quality of the image is so intense that the magnet looks like a mini version of the original piece. The colors are very vibrant & bright: the deep azure blue ocean, her glistening golden hair & the gleaming emerald seaweed. The detail of the image is so great that it demonstrates the depth & dimension of the original piece making it appear to be 3d. You can practically feel the sand & pebbles!
self with APS Linac quadrupole magnet; sorry but this was a publicity picture and the photographer made me hold the caliper backwards so people could see it... duh.
