Magnet magazine: $3.50 at Books a Million in Columbus, Mississippi. They always receive Magnet late. This is the July/August issue, but I don't care. I love this magazine. It has consistantly been my favorite music magazine over the past seven years.

Monster Magnet is an American rock band. Hailing from Red Bank, New Jersey, the group was founded by Dave Wyndorf (vocals and guitar), John McBain (guitar) and Tim Cronin (vocals and drums).
Monster Magnet's style is heavily influenced by 1970s space rock such as Hawkwind, and proto-metal bands such as Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Blue Oyster Cult, Captain Beyond and Sir Lord Baltimore. In addition to recording covers such as Black Sabbath's "Into the Void" (Master of Reality, 1971) and Hawkwind's "Brainstorm" (Doremi Fasol Latido, 1972), Wyndorf sometimes incorporated elements of space rock staples into his own songs. For instance, the Dopes to Infinity title track borrows some of its lyrics from "Lord of Light" (ibid.), and Superjudge's "Twin Earth" is a reinterpretation of Captain Beyond's "Mesmerization Eclipse" (Captain Beyond, 1972). The main guitar riff to the track Dopes To Infinity is lifted from The Sir Lord Baltimore song "Woman Tamer" (Sir Lord Baltimore,1971). The band has also cited British new wave / post-punk band Depeche Mode as an influence on its music. They have also covered "Black Celebration" for a 1998 Depeche Mode tribute album.

Set of 3 magnets which are very handy for your refridgerator, filing cabinet or other metal surface. Use them to hold take-out menus or important phone numbers. Or, they can hold nothing and just sit there looking all shiny and pretty.
These 3.2 cm (1.25 in) round magnets are decorated with original marbled art. The marbled art on the magnets is exactly the marbled art that I pulled off the marbling tray. I rinsed it, I dried it, I scrutinized it for flaws, and then it was used to decorate these [useful little things].
The marbled patterns are made by dragging rakes and combs across floating paint droplets. The contrast of the colors emphasizes the fine details in the patterns.

The shape is essentially an Octahedron, but still photos don't seem to do the subunit or the design justice. I'll post both the main subunit and secondary subunit, but it might take a video to clearly show the shape. I was just surprised how such a simple subunit turned into this.
Assorted magnets on my fridge door. I used to have so many things on the fridge... I cleaned off so much about 3 weeks ago. I like the destination magnets. My Hawaii one broke, so I guess I need to go back to get another one :)

These magnets are amazing. I realised when I tried to take off the blonde wig that as long as the magnets were still there the wig was rather hard to get off. Of course they were 25 of the magnets on each side but this needed some investigation so I took the most mezzy wig I have, which is Pocca's old purple wig. I put it on the head and one magnet on each side. I did hide the magnets in the hair and shaked the head, gently but still so much that the wig would have fallen off. It did not. I then took the doll and held her upside down but the wig remained on her head; PERFECT!
These magnets are seriously strong and with this discovery I dont need to buy wig caps that somewhat makes wigs get bigger and loose. AWESOME!
