The Winter Magic Festival in Katoomba, Blue Mountains is when one of Australia's most famous towns is taken over by local artists, musicians, dancers, drummers, choirs, stalls and community. The Winter Magic Festival is a chance for everyone to participate and have fun!
The main street of Katoomba is closed to motor traffic and open to pedestrians. This allows the whole town to become a performance space. Streets are lined with market stalls and everybody is encouraged to dress in costume.
Winter Magic won't just be the name of Katoomba's premier festival during winter, but a description of what will be experienced when the town will unleash a mammoth mix of surprises once again.
The Grand Parade is always popular and the theme for 2015 is 'PEACE'.
Travel directly to the Festival via steam train or simply take a ride to Mount Victoria and back when you get here.

On April 11, 2010 the Museum hosted a meetup for Flickr photographers in the Magic! exhibition.
The photos in this set are of the photographers in action - check out the HMNS Flickr pool for photos from the photographers. If you missed this one, we'll be announcing future meetups there as well - so check back soon!
About the Exhibit:
Though their methods are enshrouded in secrecy, magicians combine the art of performance with a variety of scientific disciplines, including math, physics and psychology, to create their dazzling effects and fascinating illusions.
The Houston Museum of Natural Science's new exhibition, Magic!, examines how science and magic are intertwined, tapping into our universal desire to know "How does that work?" Magic is the perfect subject to inspire people of all ages—especially kids—to learn about the science behind the magic, and the world around them.
Please note: photography is prohibited in the Magic exhibition during normal public hours. If you'd like to take part in our meetups, join the HMNS group for event announcements.
This is in the right queue area for Pirates of the Caribbean in the Magic Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Resort. The significance of this chess game lies in the genius of Marc Davis. The board is arrayed in such a way that every move constitutes an endless game of chess.
At one point during a refurb the board was moved and the layout was changed. Luckily, they were able to set up the board after finding some original sketches.

This is one room from "Magical Realms", the famous store in the Bronx, NY, belonging to Lady Rhea, a priestess /sorcerer also known as "The Witch Queen of New York".
She is a Wiccan High Priestess in the Gardnerian tradition. Since 1992, she owns this store, where she reads tarot or performs rituals, but overall it's where she elaborates her widely known enchanted candles, spells for almost anything that involve the use of fresh flowers, honey, essential oils, carving the candle with the signs of deities involved and covering the pattern with colored glitter for a final product of remarkable beauty.
This is one of the rooms for the tarot readings, and it contains diverse elements of different believes working together (an Italian Madonna doll, a Catholic saint, and a Hindu deity).

Kids could also do magic ... :) Well, this is not really a magic. He and his friends are swimming in this lake and they have no hesitance to do various tricks and attraction ... just to satisfy us, the amateur photographers ... :) No money involve, all they want is a sneak peak from our camera once they performed ... :)
Oh by the way ... seeing them swimming, I could see that they feel that they just playing in their bathroom!

1, 2, 3 e 4. Nos anos 80, recebeu seu primeiro W.C. Handy Award, o principal prêmio do blues.
