Many thanks to Richard Walker for tipping me off about this spiral staircase at the Magic Circle in London. We went along to the Close-up Magic show and I took along my camera. The show was totally amazing, and they didn't mind me snapping away before the start :-)
I've put together a map of spiral staircases in London. If you look at this Google Map you can see the one's I'm aware of. If you've got any that you know of that aren't on the map and you like them added then send me a Flickr mail with the details and I'll add it.
I have a garden bed that’s all coneflowers. A sea of purple! And the bees love it. At sunset, I step outside and wait for the magic to happen.

Walking on the watershed between the ravines "Barranco de los Cernicalos" and "Barranco de la Breña" (Gran Canaria, Canary Islands) in a lush nature made by recent rains between ancient hydraulic works and history.
Walking in the Carpinetana Area, near Bassiano (LT). This is a magic area full of history and gorgeous nature. A perfect place for the Magic Forest project with autumn mood.
At the trail in Xitou Nature Education Area, Nantou Couny, Taiwan.
Xitou is located in the Phoenix hill of Lugu village, and is embraced by mountains from three sides. Its name is derived from the Chinese meaning: the origin of the river (Beishi River). Xitou has plenty of rains, and is cool and moist all the year round. Therefore, it is one of the most famous resort spots in summer and the most romantic place for new couples to spend their honeymoons.

Walking in the Circeo National Park. This is a magic area full of history and gorgeous nature. A perfect place for the Magic Forest project with autumn mood.
An experience of a lifetime. Gliding with the wind above the landscape of old Bagan at dawn. What an incredible sight to see the sun rising above thousands of small and large temples peeking out between the trees.
The large temple is called Sulamani, built in 1183. It is one of the most important temples in the UNESCO World Heritage Archeological Park and is home to exquisite frescoes. It was damaged by an earthquake the year after my visit with the spire crumbling and crashing to the ground.
I was a bit surprised by the speed of flight, there is hardly a chance to compose, as positions change so rapidly and many shots are not fully focussed ... but no complaints. i shot like mad and luckily still find some gems in the archive even now : )

This is pretty simular to the previous upload. However if you look close you will see that this is the other hand and a different nailpolish. And some purple glitter was added to match the nailpolish.
For lightening I used a ledlenser from below. Pretty overkill but it made the job:p

Egyptian Goose feeding at sunset. They normally graze on land, feeding on a variety of plant matter including grasses, seeds, shoots, leaves, grain and crops. It also takes food items from shallow water, including algae and aquatic plants.

Large water body with hills forming the back drop on one side , field on the other side and the small approach bridge on one side of the lake provided perfect point for making some landscape images.
Going through my photo stream, I realised that friends who had once been regular on flickr were inactive now. I felt sad that I have lost a few good friends.
My magic keeps my head up, even my heart is aching.
It keeps me safe, surrounds me like a wall, but it is not able to keep the pain away that lives within me.
But i can trust in my magic, the power within me that this wound will heal, it just needs time, a lot of time.
And i cant say how i will come out of that struggle.

Although the place is real and it’s a picturesque spot, the time of day in terms of darkness and starry sky is not - that’s courtesy of Photoshop Camera on my iPhone. Can’t seem to transfer images from my DSLR to my iPhone via the Canon Camera Connect app. and I’m away from my desktop PC. Consequently, I’m using the phone to create a little magic hour.
