The trail sits at 2,200 meters above sea level, just a few hundred meters below Thailand’s highest peak (2,565 meters). Take note that Doi Inthanon National Park is opened all year but Kew Mae Pan Nature Trail is closed from June to October i.e. the raining season.

Mae is a little shelter kitten who was brought to our vet practice because she wasn't eating and was losing weight. We treated her and one of our technicians took her home to foster her. Once she reaches two pounds, she'll be available for adoption. I featured Mae on our practice's social media yesterday and a client contacted me last night and wants to adopt Mae!

I may not be able to comment on other people's photos until tomorrow. We have company over and as soon as they leave, we are driving 2 hours away to go and visit my first ever GRANDCHILD! I am so excited. It will be a long day but one I've waited for for a very long time.

Ich fuhr mit der Fähre auf die Insel „Ilha da Culatra“, auf der das kleine urige Fischerdorf Culatra mit seinen ca. 800 Einwohnern liegt. Es gibt sogar einen Kindergarten und eine Schule. Mir kam es hier vor, als wäre die Zeit stehen geblieben.
I went by ferry to the island "Ilha da Culatra", on which the small quaint fishing village Culatra with its approximately 800 inhabitants lies. There is even a kindergarten and a school. It seemed to me here, as if time stood still.

Wikipedia: The Maeklong Railway (also known as the Mae Klong Railway) is a 1,000 mm (3 ft 3+3⁄8 in) meter gauge railway that runs for nearly 65 kilometers (40 mi) between Wongwian Yai, Bangkok, and Samut Songkhram in central Thailand.
The railway became famous for its route through the Maeklong Railway Market, nicknamed Talat Rom Hup, meaning the "umbrella pulldown market". It is one of the largest fresh seafood markets in Thailand and is centered on the Maeklong Railway's track. Whenever a train approaches, the awnings and shop fronts are moved back from the rails, to be replaced once the train has passed.

Mae is the new girl to town. She is quiet and reserved. She is the nice girl, she tends to try and make friends with everyone. Her style is simple and girly.
Deedee is the adopted daughter of the hottest couple around, Dylan Mckay & Harley Davidson. She knows she is well set in life, however, she is also friendly. She is very athletic, and participates in volleyball,softball, track, basketball, and tennis.
Stacia is the younger sister of well known models Daria & Honey Ryder. She is very popular with the guys, girls do not seem to understand her. She is very friendly and easygoing. She has a range of styles, she will almost always be seen in some type of dress or skirt though. She is only a member of the basketball cheer squad. Originally to be closer to her now ex boyfriend, Mikey Pine who is a member of the basektball team.

I was in the shopping area with the intention of buying shoes - something which never, ever puts me in a happy frame of mind - when I saw Mae coming towards me. What an attention grabber she is! And not just her fabulous pink braids, indeed she has a show stopping style about her.
Despite not being at all prepared, I wasn't going to let her go past without at least asking if I could take her portrait. "Yeah, sure", she replied, as if it happens every day. Well, as it turns out, she is in fact a model. You can see some of her really stunning work at instagram @mae_b_pssst , and alas I must say straight away, I have not been so successful in showing her in all her best light.
Nevertheless, I really enjoyed our few moments of conversation. Mae has an easy-going, friendly manner, which combines well with her confident and strong aura. Truth be told, I found myself more than a little awed by her.
She has been here for 5 years, and continues to have strong ties with Berlin, although she is in fact born and bred in the Bronx. We talked quite a bit about that, as I don't think I've ever actually met someone from there, so it was interesting to get the perspective of a real person, not just what we see on TV. Apart from modelling, Mae is also a dancer - that also shows in her instagram photos.
Anyway, a thoroughly enjoyable Stranger Portrait, and I went home happy. With the photos. Without the shoes. Perfect 😁
