These images are experiments toward a final piece of work showing the difficulties in obtaining inner peace in our largely consumeristic society. The image on the right shows a meditative figure corrupted by needless designer products, its chakras madeup ofconsumeristic products and items. The image on the left is much more similr to my final outcome as i decided to use the blocks of colour with cut up chakras to show the chaos of modern society in a controlled manor.I also experimented with drawings of two point perspective buildings in the background/within the figure to show the built up tension that juxtposes a calm and peacefull mind.
Materials:acrylic paints, cutout magazines,black ink, red paper, white paper.
Fiber arts "quiltlet" (my own madeup word for a mini quilt!). Love to mix fabrics and fibers and media.
This Orang is a really sad story. She will never be wild. She was kept by a couple as a daughter. She slept in a bed, ate at the table and had was madeup like a girl. She is caged some of the time.
