SD70MACe BNSF 9725 leads an empty through a sag at MP16 on the Angora Sub south of Alliance, Nebraska
One of the real benefits to cab signals being removed has been the plethora of MACs we have seen leading trains. The chance for new and interesting leaders has really rekindled my interest in the RF&P. On a gorgeous fall evening, M301 snaked their way through RO switching from 1 to 2 track for their trip south. In the lead was a sharp looking 4700 series leader, properly lit by the beautiful golden hour and framed by the foliage. It's certainly a bonus that this is only 15 minutes from home, as I love sneaking a few in here and there that are not an all day excursion.
On a beautiful afternoon, CSX I136 thunders through the 2 track at Alexandria. In the lead is a 4500 series EMD, something which is becoming more common for us since the removal of cab signals here on the RF&P. It was pretty cool watching a hotshot intermodal with an EMD rip through the passenger track at track speed.

The bottom seeded Falcons take a win over Central Michigan advancing to the Semi Finals against Akron at the Quicken Loans Arena.
