On a dull and cloudy day there is still beauty to be found in the garden

Don't we all dream of a camera that overcomes 'depth of field' and achieves perfect clarity from all distances? This bug is smaller than my smallest finger nail, so not bad!

I cound't get more pictures to stack this guy:). That is what I get.

Garden black ants moving what might be some kind of Larvae/Pupae, be it one of their own, aphid or maybe a food source? If anyone knows for sure, please comment :)

 

Took 300+ pictures of these ladies moving in and out of this hole, and got lucky with this one I think.

The lily is a favorite flower of Easter and Springtime in general. I like to photograph them for their simplicity and purity of form. I took this shot of one while on a walk through the San Diego Botanic Garden.

A sweater from the Faroe Island that has been used regularly in winter time

Some tiny, colorful lichens on a wooden bench in my garden. Magnification about 1.5X, 6-shot photo stack, handheld; assembled in Photoshop.

My best guess is that this is Digrammia colorata, the Creosote Moth. Not sure, but habitat-wise it definitely fits. A plain-looking moth from a distance, but like a subtle tapestry up close.
