When we love, we see beauty;
we speak in beauty; we walk in beauty.
In love, we are beauty itself.

Owoooooooo!
Who's that I see walkin' in these woods?
Why, it's Little Red Riding Hood
We had sunny Friday but rain comes again on Saturday. I wake up this morning with all the water drops around my front yard.
I am idiot loving these little drops and just can't help taking out my macro lens to shoot them.
I could not explain the reasons why I love them so much. Even in a very simple setting, I find beauty in them easily. Life is full of little pleasures like this (shooting water drops). I am sure all of you can find them yourselves too. They usually do not cost you very much money and may be a little time only. However you won't bother on the time spent since you are enjoying it.
Have a beautiful Sunday in the rain or not!

So, the Macro Monday theme was "Imperfection". They mentioned how often a macro photograph shows some imperfection once you get it on your large computer screen. And they wanted us to show that on purpose. An imperfection which mars an otherwise perfect scene.
Well, this was difficult for me, because I always remove the imperfections, or go take the photo all over again if something icky shows up when I look at it large.
So, first I tried actually adding something wrong to the things I was photographing, but that felt even more weird. So I bought a bouquet of Baby's Breath, and started taking macros of the tiny flowers. After doing a lot of focus stacking and then studying the resulting images, I finally found a good shot with an imperfection. A little hair, or fuzzy, which I normally would have removed. And the imperfection was even in focus!
This was done with reverse lens macro. And focus stacking, both with Helicon focus, and manual stacking. The tiny hair was just... there. So I left it there.

There are two smells I associate with an airport, parfum and kerosene. I prefer not to much parfum on the skin but enough of kerosene in the tank of the aircraft I am going with!

(Zuiko 2.8 35 mm shift lens ! on Sony A7RII, 6 blades wide open)
Some technical information to this lens: For most photographers who use a shift lens (or pc lens = perspective correction) it is a speciality for architecture photos. These lenses have a much huger image circle than normally necessary for the full frame sensor. A 35mm shift has the same 63 degree angle like a normal 35 mm lens, but you have the possibility to shift horizontal or vertical which enables you to have in this direction an 83 degree angle, what is equivalent to a 24mm lens. This makes it very versatile. If you want to fade out an undesirably foreground, you can just shift it away! It is like climbing up a scaffold for about 1 or 2 m.
If I had a power colour,
it would definitely be
SPARKLE.
