Huayna Picchu rises over Machu Picchu, the so-called lost city of the Incas. The Incas built a trail up the side of the Huayna Picchu and built temples and terraces on its top. The peak of Huayna Picchu is 2,693 metres (8,835 ft) above sea level, or about 260 metres (850 ft) higher than Machu Picchu.

Of Machupicchu there are thousands of photos from this same place, but this photo is mine, it is my art, my contribution. It is a beautiful place to take very good photos, specifically this place, the bad there are many people and little time, so the shot has to be fast and with the camera configured to get the best out of this magical place and even more when there is a wonderful fog that finishes giving the magical and mystical aspect to Machupicchu, I was lucky to get to Machupicchu as they see it and take out that beautiful shot.

Again the walls and buildings are remakably intact after 500 years and several earthquakes, and the scale of the site and steepness of the surrounding mountains is breathtaking.

Aguas Calientes is the gateway to Machu Picchu.

One of the most fascinating places I have ever visited. How was such a place accomplished at this elevation of 7,790' MSL (2430 m)? The various engineering disciplines involved are amazing. These were some smart and talented people!
