1930 Marshall Steam Traction Engine

 

Marshall, Sons & Co. was a British agricultural machinery manufacturer founded in 1848. The company was based in the Britannia Iron Works, Gainsborough, Lincolnshire. Early production was of steam engines and agricultural machinery. Later production included diesel tractors such as the Field Marshall, Track Marshall and former Leyland wheeled tractors.

At a heavy construction equipment rental company in Madison, Alabama, The company must rent a lot of these as this is only a portion of the ones at this location and there is another location nearby with several more.

Taken back in '08 with my d50. Had trouble at the time getting it how I wanted back then. Now, in '18, Exposure X4 gets it where I want it.

 

Not sure if this is a crane or what.

Machinery used for power generation and mining are displayed in front of the Gas Station in Panamint Springs in Death Valley National Park, California. Behind the equipment a desert landscape feauturing the Panamint Valley and Mountains can be seen.

Stanier 8f 2-8-0 48698 trundles down the former Midland main line at Barrow upon Soar with mixed freight that appears to include agricultural machinery. 16.4.1964

48698 was built at Brighton Works 5/1944 and withdrawn fron service 4/1966. At the time of the photo it was based at Toton.
