This machine is very different from the old machines. Take some time to play with it and see what you think.
In general: the older machines are better for printing and the new machine is better for electronic scanning.
In this example, the high cliffs to the right were created using a rubber stamp of an elephant., but only showing the animal's back.
The crew can pick up a thin wire of metal with these machines. Truly amazing precision.

I usually do the blanket stitch by hand but found I liked doing it on the machine. I am so glad I tried it. Now I need to practice, practice, practice. And that means more projects in my future :-) Thanks Pat! At least I am not afraid anymore to do it on the machine.
Bone Machine was a fixed gear criterion bicycle race in an industrial area of north Portland.
Competitors raced on a closed course on bicycles with no brakes and no ability to coast -- track bikes.
The races were part of a weekend of events, including bike polo, Goldsprints and a Chrome-sponsored alleycat.
This machine made art. You picked out two pieces of paper from a bin (lots of random bits, from magazines to lottery tickets) fed them into the machine, turned the crank, and a then a few minutes later a piece of art would pop out.

Cool old machine I found in De Ridder's. Don't know what it is or what it was used for. Lots of pipes and tubes though. Photos taken at De Ridder antique store in Forney, Texas
