Sewing machine Singer Featherweight machines were produced in black, beige/tan and white/green (what the company called Pale Turquoise) There were no red, blue or any other colour machines although many have been repainted in later life and new decals added Black 221 machines were produced at Elizabethport, New Jersey, and at Clydebank, Scotland. Beige/tan machines were produced at Clydebank and at St John's, Canada White/Green machines were produced only at Clydebank. Date made 1941. The Singer Featherweight portable sewing machine is a model made by that company between 1933 and 1964. The machine (model 221), adapted from an earlier portable, the Standard SewHandy (which company was bought out by Singer) weighs about 11 pounds and has been found to be an ideal machine for quilters and other sewers to take to classes or "on location." Very quiet and sturdily made with all-metal parts (mostly aluminum), the Featherweight sews only straight stitches but it sews them very well. Even the oldest machines, if they've been cared for, still sew wonderfully.

We got a new donation over at The Geek Group this week - Haas TM1 and TL1 machines. (CNC lathe and mill) This gave us the opportunity to re-arrange the machine shop... I think it's quite pretty! In the adjacent room is the SR-100, a CNC router table.

This enigmatic early twentieth century computing machine is in the window of the J. Ville Tavern in Jacksonville, Oregon.
What does it do? I don't know, so I'd welcome your thoughts.
The machine is used for different kinds of round bottles and bottle in irregular shape in food, pharmacy and chemical industry. VFD is used to adjust the working speed freely.

Thermodynamic Laws Are Unjust
I’ve been tinkering for months on this Perpetual Motion Machine. It is very large, taking up my yard, part of my grouchy neighbors yard and rolls out a bit onto the public sidewalk.
I’m estimating about 2 tons of gears, actuators, harmonic pulsars, stabilizer shafts and counter balancing spindles.
All meshing smoothly and slowly rotating while emitting a beautiful low pitch machine whine sound that’s rather soothing.

Until recently we really never have had pelicans around here. Now when you look up in the sky you think you are in Florida!
Up close and personal they really are weird looking. The punked hair-like feathers on their heads, the long bill, and that fabulous pouch make for a comical being. But, oooh, can they glide through the air and can they ever catch fish.
Local fisherman claim that they are decimating the fish populations. They sure take their share, but the jury is out on how much damage they are really doing.
I made this image on an island that contains thousands of pelicans, egrets, gulls, egrets, geese, and herons. It was a feast for my eyes, but a bad day for my nose. Get downwind of all that poop and you hurry to get upwind.

I've assembled the SEARS Machine Gun Emplacement set using Timeless parts and figure from Hasbro. All parts are Hasbro, except for the Sandbags, helmet and web belt. The web belt and helmet are from Elitebrigade. I don't know the source of the Sandbags.
Stan still hand builds tattoo machines which he sells at tattoo conventions, and sometimes over the internet on EBAY. He originally learned to build tattoo machines from Bill "Jonesy" Jones, one of the most famous tattoo machine builders of all time. Stan's tattoo machines are very limited in availability, and are sought after by tattoo artists all over the world. If you're lucky enough to get your hands on one, they are fast becoming a collector's item.

saw this at the mall today right before a lady on a cellphone snapped at me "you can't take pictures in the mall". so i just said oops, sorry & walked away.
i've never heard that before-you can take photos in an airport but not a rinky dink mall?! she didn't even look like she worked there, just a shopper so has anyone else ever heard that before?
