以前から話題となっていたAppleのMac Book Airがついに発表となった。日本時間の午前４時頃にMacworld 2008のスティーブ・ジョブズ キーノートが始まった。そしてすぐにApple Storeで予約が開始され、２週間後の出荷と言うことだ。
Well I finally pulled the trigger after careful consideration (aka spontaneously) and bought myself a Macbook Pro. After owning the iPhone for quite sometime I was overly impressed with Apples GUI and support. I intended on getting the new 2.0ghz Aluminum one or the White 2.1ghz model but some how walked out with a Macbook Pro which set me back a pretty penny. Thank god for credit...LOL
Great thing to do during this uncertain economy, huh? But I have to admin she's "pwetty."

Treated myself to the MacBook Pro 2.66gHz laptop. It's a beauty. Hooked up to the 26" IIyama screen. I'll have to work on the final setup, just messing about a bit now.

the macbook has been problematical recently and i noticed that it was getting hotter than i was happy with, and it too, apparently. so i had a quick google and found a couple of helpful vids on how to open up the macbook. i tried it once before by removing the visible screws on the outside of the unit but i could never open it. turns out there's loads more little screws inside the device that need removing before you can actually open it. anyway, one of the two vids i watched was a how to repalce the fan in a model of a macbook similar to mine. so i followed the instructions and found that the fan andin particular the cooling vanes were covered in dust and fluff. so i removed the fan and carefully cleaned it all out and reassembled it. and so far, as i type this, the macbook has been on and running for over an hour and it is still fairly cool. so all is well, it seems.
i spoke to a chap at the apple dealers in Leeds (KCRS) and the chap i spoke to was impressed that a nearly six year old macbook was still functioning. typical.

Very grateful to Unibody Ive for having come up with the enclosure and having saved my MBP from a disaster.

really feeling uninspired. hopefully over the next couple days i can come up with something better. i think d-tek had it right. this weather is really, REALLY uninspiring. :/
This just shows how it opens, pretty simple flap that folds over, the flap has a very small snap on each corner to secure it.
