New in 2021, Lothian’s 627 is seen on Princes Street working route 25 from Restalrig to Heriot Watt University at Riccarton. The vehicle is passing the former British Home Stores at 64 Princes Street, which is being converted for a mixed use hotel and retail development. The store opened in 1967 and closed in August 2016

This place has had a few names and also several owners. It made soap products of all kinds and had been in Toronto's portlands area for almost 100 years. It was a huge complex that isn't currently very accessible, both because of the location and what's also going on around it, construction-wise.

This site was supposed to be reused and had been used as a filming location for almost a decade after it closed down. Gulf originally proposed that this would remain a work-focused site, but of course, it was later sold to CF and then demolition was in order and now it's supposed to be all condos vs. manufacturing or office space. Thank god for the power of the MZO bypass! 16 new condos seem like a much better deal in an isolated location.

These are photos from different periods. I was amazed at how this was one of the few buildings that felt much bigger inside than it looked outside. It also used to have a train layup next to it - which was quite hard to find in the '90s when walking from the North as it was more closed off then. This whole area was a real mystery to me until I started riding my bike down here and finding more things concealed by the landscape.

Irgendwann im Januar 1989 durchquerte 151 026 mit einem gemischten Güterzug den Bahnhof Zorneding in Richtung München. Durch die ein halbes Jahr zuvor abgeschlossenen Bauarbeiten für die zusätzlichen Gleise der S-Bahn wirkte der Bahnhof recht aufgeräumt, rechts am Rand sind noch das Schotterbett des Ladegleises und das Empfangsgebäude zu erkennen. Heute sind rechts und links der Gleise Lärmschutzwände zu finden und das Bahnhofsgebäude wurde abgerissen.

Am frühen Nachmittag des 20.03.2017 ging es kurz an die Strecke München - Rosenheim. Am Rand von Eglharting sollte das Wetter genutzt werden, auch wenn der Ebersberger Forst als Hintergrund noch nicht allzu viel hergibt.

Den Anfang machte 185 665 von Lokomotion, die entgegen ihrer Werbung für Kombiverkehr eine lange Leine offener Güterwagen Ea(n)os in Richtung München schleppte.

Am Mittag des 22. Mai 2022 konnte das Vectron-Doppel 193 990 von Railpool und 193 745 von ELL zwischen Eglharting und Zorneding fotografiert werden. Der Klv-Zug war in Richtung München unterwegs.

Irgendwann im Herbst 1992 konnte ich 1044 103 der ÖBB mit zwei modernisierten "Silberlingen" der DB auf Höhe der Einfahrsignale des Bahnhofs Zorneding aufnehmen. Im Zuge der Modernisierung der Nahverkehrswagen hatte die DB alle möglichen Firmen beauftragt, da die Kapazitäten der eigenen AW nicht ausreichten - u.a. auch die Firma FERVET in Italien. Ich vermute dort kamen die Wagen gerade her.

Ebenfalls um den Juni 1988 herum konnte ich einen Glückstreffer im Bahnhof Zorneding landen - ein einzeln fahrender Schienenbus war von Rosenheim in Richtung München unterwegs. Grund und Ziel der Fahrt sind mir nicht bekannt.

Links neben dem Schienenbus sind die beiden Ausfahrsignale der Gleise 4 und 5 zu sehen, die im Zuge der zusätzlichen S-Bahn-Gleise zwischen Haar und Zorneding gebaut wurden. Wenige Monate nach dieser Aufnahme wurden diese in Betrieb genommen.

20.4.2016 na MZO

Am Mittag des 20. Januar 2024 war 189 927 mit einem Klv-Zug in Richtung Rosenheim unterwegs und konnte zwischen Eglharting und Zorneding fotografiert werden. Wer hätte gedacht daß das schwarze Design mit den quadratischen MRCE-Logos da schon historisch war - nach der Übernahme durch Beacon wurden die Logos entfernt.

Am Vormittag des 20. Januar 2024 konnte bei Zorneding der ELL-Vectron 193 256 aufgenommen werden, der mit leeren Flachwagen in Richtung Rosenheim unterwegs war. Deutlich waren noch die Spuren des Mieters SBB Cargo International zu erkennen, zum Zeitpunkt der Aufnahme war die Lok aber für ein anderes Unternehmen unterwegs.

MŽO Perov and CZ Loko have modernised three ex-BDZ Škoda 68E2 electric locos purchased by TBD-Tovarni Prevozi EAD, which is owned by the TEC Bobov Dol power station where they will haul coal trains.

Egy bolgár magánvasút felújított régi csehszlovák mozdonya (ugyanaz, mint a CD 242-es sorozata) a Ferencvárosi pályaudvaron 2016. júniusában. Reggel munkába menet ejtettem útba Magyarország legnagyobb teherpályaudvarát és fényképeztem mozdonyokat barátom Tamron objektívjét használva.

Irgendwann im Januar 1990 konnte ich die ÖBB-Ellok 1110 014 im Bahnhof Zorneding fotografieren, die gerade mit einem Güterzug auf Gleis 2 eingefahren war um eine Überholung abzuwarten. Der vierachsige Güterwagen der Bauart Gabs der italienischen Staatsbahn lässt vermuten daß der Zug vom Brenner kam, Ziel war auf alle einer der beiden Münchner Rangierbahnhöfe.

This place has had a few names and also several owners. It made soap products of all kinds and had been in Toronto's portlands area for almost 100 years. It was a huge complex that isn't currently very accessible, both because of the location and what's also going on around it, construction-wise.

This site was supposed to be reused and had been used as a filming location for almost a decade after it closed down. Gulf originally proposed that this would remain a work-focused site, but of course, it was later sold to CF and then demolition was in order and now it's supposed to be all condos vs. manufacturing or office space. Thank god for the power of the MZO bypass! 16 new condos seem like a much better deal in an isolated location.

These are photos from different periods. I was amazed at how this was one of the few buildings that felt much bigger inside than it looked outside. It also used to have a train layup next to it - which was quite hard to find in the '90s when walking from the North as it was more closed off then. This whole area was a real mystery to me until I started riding my bike down here and finding more things concealed by the landscape.

KIA & MZO - Bury Line 1991

Ebenfalls um den Juni 1988 herum konnte ich einen Glückstreffer im Bahnhof Zorneding landen - ein einzeln fahrender Schienenbus war von Rosenheim in Richtung München unterwegs. Grund und Ziel der Fahrt sind mir nicht bekannt.

Beim Nachschuß fallen neben dem Empfangsgebäude und dem Lagerhaus noch einige längst verschwundene Elemente im Bahnhof von Zorneding auf. Der Bahnsteig für die stadtauswärts fahrenden S-Bahnen war ein mit schlanken Weichen angeschlossenen zusätzliches Gleis "0", das für etlichen Überholungen genutzt wurde. Dafür hatte es auch in westliche Richtung ein Ausfahrsignal, das aber nur sehr selten genutzt wurde.

Links neben dem Empfangsgebäude sind die Blechbude als Materiallager für den Umbau der Oberleitung, die Werbetafel des Bahnhofskiosk und der blecherne Unterstand für wartende Reisende zu sehen.

Der ÖBB-Taurus 1116 093 war am 20. Januar 2024 mit einem Eurocity in Richtung Heimat unterwegs und konnte kurz hinter dem Bahnhof Zorneding aufgenommen werden.

Wegen Bauarbeiten in Grafing Bahnhof war eine S-Bahn am Mittag des 22. Mai 2022 von Zorneding bis Grafing auf den Fernbahngleisen unterwegs - die Halte in Eglharting und Kirchseeon mussten damit entfallen...

Transferred to York in mid-late December 2018 is another Optare Versa in the Y&C fleet which retains Harrogate Connect livery. YJ12 MZO has an inbound 23 from Ripon and beyond as it passes by Cliffords Tower

Am 21.03.2017 wollte ich bei Eglharting noch einmal ein paar Fotos machen - leider war der Verkehr nicht besonders lebhaft und die Wolkendecke am Himmel ließ auch keine rechte Freude aufkommen.

Der Mehrsystem-Taurus 1216 019 ist eigentlich eine schicke Werbelok, momentan aber recht verschmutzt unterwegs - passend zum noch tristen Aussehen des Ebersberger Forstes im Hintergrund. Unterwegs mit EC286 von Innsbruck nach München Hbf.
