This was my first time going past the new Wilson Bridge (I-495 & I-95). Since there is still construction going on, this part is entered via the Royal St detour. Alexandria, VA.
The directional sign reads:
←Jones Point Park
.5 mile
Mount Vernon Trail
to Theodore
Roosevelt Island
9 Miles
Mount Vernon Trail→
to Mount Vernon
8.5 miles
Since both directions are the Mount Vernon Trail, that should go on top as the primary title, with each destination below. I like knowing the mileage. But why is Jones Point Park ".5 mile[s]" away when there's a giant sign 5 feet away announcing Jones Point Park?
Move clockwise up I-495 - see Ten Lanes of Traffic.
