"Visitors to the eastern side of Glacier National Park will enjoy taking a short side trip to this overlook of St. Mary Lake. Like many of Glacier's lakes, St. Mary Lake has pristine teal-blue waters and offers scenic vistas. Over 10 miles in length, the lake showcases many viewpoints of the surrounding mountains and the eastern boundary of the park." hikingproject.com

Hope your weekend is off to a wonderful start!

This photo makes me think I am looking through a open window, that I could reach out and touch it.

I got up early one morning, went into the Superstition Mtn to take photos.

Early morning on the desert.

Buck is an actual mountain on the east shore of Lake George, and this started out as a very plain shot of the mountain and the lake. I hand-painted in some more interesting foreground, then ran that thru DDG - so this is a definite hybrid art form.

I always thought the desert was just full of sand with nothing else there, but there is a strange sort of beauty in the desert.

A small bird with the Superstition Mountains in the background.

There is suppose to be treasure in the Superstition Mountains. I did not find it but there sure is many photography opportunities.

MTN-2 Is a Voyatoran who simply wants to work, he doesn't mind the limitations he was given by Karzahni, he just wants to get the job done. So when Skraps lead a rebellion against the Piraka, MTN-2 was less than thrilled to say the least.

the haze from the California fires reaches Colorado - as you wind down the road the land lists and sways - a new vista with every turn.

I was able to get a lot of photos of the Superstition Mountains. What a difference in landscape from my home state of NY.

Above Route 20 near Rockport. For scale the person on the trail just beyond its dip is an adult.

Seen at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum yesterday.

It looks like a western without the cowboys.

I did look closely enough when I was taking this photo so I don't know if the pile of rocks on the right hand side is a grave or not. Know I wished I had looked closer.

If you ever get a chance.. go see this beauty of the Great Smoky Mtns. This is God's country.

Sugarloaf Mtn.

Sorry, this was shot from a moving car, but on this day, Sauk Mtn was out of the clouds and its slopes were full of color, so I grabbed what I could get from the window as we drove up the Skagit Valley.

The parking lot for the trail begins WAY UP where the trees give way to orange. This peak is around 5,500 ft high, but you only hike up the last 1,200 ft of that. The rest, you drive.
