The "V" is in the provisional position as it is at the junction between 2 blocks.

Affectionately known as 'Billy' at the ELR, 4002 is one of a pair of Hudswell Diesel-Electrics which were used by the Manchester Ship Canal Company as part of their extensive fleet operating around Trafford Park.

The pair were numbered 4001/2 at the MSC. Sister loco 4001 also survived for many years as a static non-operational exhibit at the Winfields Store site at Acre Village (between Haslingden and Accrington) however the loco was cut up in 2018 as it was in a poor state. 4001 has donated many parts to allow 4002 to live on as a working example. Information from East Lancs Railway diesel web site. Billy is seen here with a demonstration photographic train at Castlecroft diesel depot

The water is almost still enough to see great reflection, as MSC Emma sits at Pier 400 for the night. The 13,092 TEU ship is quite the visitor at the APM Terminal making appearances every two months or so. In the not so distant past the ship use to go come here under the name Maersk Enfield before it was sold to the 2M partner in 2018.

Seen this one before, about a month before it shot is again (www.flickr.com/photos/117933195@N07/50825845863/in/datepo...), apparently the 2M's rotation of ships to and from Long Beach and LA have less waiting than The Alliance or the Ocean Alliance, as this 14K TEU ship is back in Long Beach after a 50 day trans-pacific run.
