The MSC Ince was one of two dredgers sold from the Manchester Ship Canal in 1989. The other one (MSC Irwell) sank whilst being towed to Ireland in 1991. This vessel was used on dredging contracts around the Shannon Estuary and at Waterford but has been abandoned for some time.

 

This follows up an earlier image in my photostream.

Posted this piece a few months back, before the background got done. Here's it finished. Part of a big wall. Killer background by elph.

MSC Meraviglia the 5th largest cruise ship in the world at 171,598 GT the largest cruise ship ever to visit Greenock.

The biggest containership in the world MSC Mina built by shipyard Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) on her maiden call to port of Rotterdam. Three weeks ago the sister ship MSC Gulsun built by shipyard Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) visited Rotterdam for the first time.

Both ships has the same dimensions. But the bridge is obviously different.

MSC Magnifica is a Musica-class cruise ship operated by

MSC Cruises. Constructed by STX Europe in Saint-Nazaire,

the ship was launched in January 2009, completed in

January 2010, and entered service in March 2010.

Facilities

•22,000 square metres (240,000 sq ft) of publicly

accessible areas across 13 passenger decks.

•Three swimming pools including one with a

retractable all-weather roof.

•Two main restaurants, two speciality restaurants

and a buffet.

•17 bars and lounges.

•1,160 square metres (12,500 sq ft) dedicated to

a gymnasium, spa and wellness centre.

•Entertainment facilities include a 1,250-seat

Art Deco-style theatre, casino, 4-D cinema,

bowling alley and virtual games area.
