The very beginning unfurling of a bud of Dahlia 'Ms. Kennedy'. In full bloom, this flower forms a perfect, miniature ball of red-orange.
This shot was taken in my living room with sunlight from the left and reflected sunlight from the right. The background was shaded from the sun and ended up near-black.

MS Eiland Marken. This ship was used to carry people between two Dutch villages: Marken en Volendam (Marken is located on the island in the Markermeer lake), but now she has "Te Koop" (for sale) note on her.
The ship was operated by Veerman en Co company. This company operates Marken-Volendam passenger line since 1933.
