9x23mm 7N46 machine pistol.

A powerful select-fire machine pistol developed at the behest of the Russian federal army, intended to replace the older MP-443 Grach and Makarov PM, both of which were previously in service.

Based off of multiple pistol prototypes, the MP-486 bears some resemblance of the cancelled HK UCP, limited production Archwell AMP-9, first-generation Glock, FN Five-seven, and the Grach.

The proprietary 9x23mm 7N46 round that the MP-486 fires is a diminutive variant of the normal 9x23mm used by the VSS Vintorez - it has a shorter casing with a more powerful powder load, giving the pistol rifle-grade firepower at the expense of higher recoil.

The pistol is truly deadly when set in full auto, as the Gadyuka fires at a monstrous 1350 RPM, remarkably faster than any machine pistol in the market, but to tame the recoil generated while firing at such rates is a whole different affair.

Other features include a threaded barrel for special operations, 20-round magazine, bottom rail mount, a pressure switch pocket for tactical laser and flashlights, and a unique hammer that serves a chamber load indicator, and is decocked when the safety is on.

Voor een aantal jaren terug, om precies te zijn 6 september 2014, kreeg ik een tip dat de MotorPost van de Spoorwegmuseum onderweg was vanuit Blerick met een rijtuig. Ik had die dag al eerder wat cargo treinen op de foto had gezet en ben toen afgereisd naar station Geldermalsen voor een volgende foto. Nadat daar een lege kolentrein aan de kant was gezet en de IC uit Eindhoven was gepasseerd duurde het niet lang totdat de verwachte mP zich liet zien. Inmiddels waren er nog een paar treinspotters bij gekomen, en zodoende namen we samen een standpunt in en hebben een foto genomen van deze trein. Iedereen was tevreden. Vervolgens heb ik nog een klein praatje gemaakt met de mede spotters en ben toen met de sprinter naar Utrecht gegaan en naar huis gegaan.

Het was een geslaagde dag voor mij !

While Ronnie and Jason are still making their way to the Mercury Labs warehouse, Maddie and Jax are holding up there, with Maddie stressed out.

MP: "Oh my god, this can't be happening, this just can't be happening."

Jax: "Maddie! Ease up."

MP: "Ease up? EASE UP?! Mercury Labs just blew up! Doctor Hewitt has gone crazy! Oh and to not forget, WE FREAKING MERGED INTO ONE PERSON!"

Jax: "Maddie!"

MP: "WHO IS ON FIRE AND HAS POWERS!"

Jax: "Maddie! Please! Calm down! I can feel your stress."

MP: "I- I'm so sorry, Jax! I'm sorry. This is just so overwhelming."

Jax: "I know. I can feel it."

MP: "You can?"

Jax: "I guess not only our bodies and minds merged, but our emotions as well. I can feel what you feel, and I guess you can feel what I feel."

MP: "That's... so sweet..."

As Maddie calms down, Henry Hewitt enters the warehouse.

HH: "Miss Payne and mister Jackson."

MP: "D- Doctor Hewitt? You look different."

HH: "Thanks to the two of you. The Firestorm matrix was destined for me, but after that explosion, I feel some sort of redemption. These powers, are incredible. However, they are not as powerful as yours are. This, this is a start. Now it's time for you to hand over the matrix."

MP: "You're a madman. We can't do that!"

Hewitt powers up and starts to glow.

HH: "Then you shall face the wrath of Tokamak!"

Hewitt charges at Maddie and Jax and they prepare to fight back.

The crew is changed after approximated 100 hoppers of coal was dumped at the Independence Power Plant near Newark, Arkansas. Presumably after several more crew changes, the train will be loaded in Wyoming and return to Arkansas.

Vandaag maakte de Crew 2454 met de MP 3029 een rondrit door Nederland.

Er werden die verse plaatsen doorkruist en hier zien de zeer mooie MP 3029 bij de Cleenhorsterweg in Putten aan de kant gaan op het zijspoor om zo de IC uit Zwolle voor te laten gaan.

Hij is onderweg vanuit Hoogeveen naar Rotterdam waar hij zijn standplaats voorlopig heeft.

Vanaf 1994 gaan enkele motorpostrijtuigen rijden voor NS Cargo. Zij gaan het sternet in het werkplaatsvervoer rijden tussen de hoofdwerkplaatsen en lijnwerkplaatsen.

Met ingang van 20 maart 1995 werden een aantal motorposten ingezet in het werkplaatsvervoer. Zij reden hierbij treinen tussen de verschillende onderhoudsbedrijven en revisiebedrijven van de NS. Met deze treinen worden onderdelen in gesloten wagens vervoerd, maar ook rijtuigen voor onderhoud worden hiermee overgebracht.

In de nacht van 26 op 27 juli 1996 wordt het EKP Roosendaal gesloten. Hiermee verminderd de behoefte aan mP's. Op 1 juni 1997 wordt het vervoer van post per spoor beëindigd. Vanaf 20 mei 1997 rijdt echter al de post per vrachtwagen. De laatste 10 dagen rijden de treinen leeg door het land ten behoeve van de omloop die nog geldt tot de wisseling van de dienstregeling. Op 30 juni 1997 worden 16 motorpostrijtuigen aan de kant gezet.

De MP 3029 werd eind 2019 overgenomen door de Stichting 2454 Crew.

De MP 3029 is tot aan begin 2021 gecompleteerd en in PTT Post-kleurstelling gebracht.
