Surprisingly spring is still here...;) It doesn't always last that long in my part of Texas.
Speaking about Texas weather, it was looking like it might rain at the Sandcastle festival this coming weekend, but now it looks like it's going to be sunny. So, lots of lotion.
I pulled out my old laptop to update everything for the trip and my malware scanner told me it found 5 questionable items. Of course I said delete them. When the system tried to do a restart, it couldn't. I had to do a factory reboot..What I thought might take a half hour has now turned into a much longer project. I'm just happy I'm doing all this at home and on my WiFi
I'm going to be a gate keeper the first day, the second day I'm a photographer and the third day I'm working the grille..lol..They have never tasted my food..:)
Comments are always welcome and favs most appreciated.

Here are some images from Nottingham's Big Track circular route, Trent Bridge looking wonderful in the sun after a new coat of paint.
the passion flower really is interesting flower. it actually has a bug-like appearance to attract butterflies and bees and this one sure has a lot of wonderful details on it.
decreased the aperture for this shot to show more details. i think it worked!
headaches still there but a little better. i gotta get rid of it soon with a lot of paper work coming i am doomed!!!
have a great day/night my friends!!!
Well, yes and no. More in that it's obviously another photo of that which enveloped us for about a day and a half, but it has been replaced by a very wet snow which has blanketed every branch once again in that very pretty way. About 4 new inches so far and still coming down, but lightly, slowly replacing that which vanished with the two days of thaw. Still very close to the freezing mark, but the crash to come again soon.
The quiet and calming familiarity continues and resumes...

Here is another shot from Elgol a couple of weeks back now, just as the sun hit the Cullins and Sgur Na Stri
Having plucked out all of the sweet pulp from these two orange halves, this Baltimore Oriole props one foot on a rind and looks for some last tidbits of fruit :)
Yes, these orange and black birds really ARE attracted to both the color orange, as well as to the sweet fruit of oranges. The pulp gives them much needed fructose energy as they fly thousands of miles during their migration.
Interestingly, once migration is over and they are nesting, they revert to their primary and normal diet of insects, though some fruits and seeds continue to be eaten when available.
Grindelwald, Switzerland. The geology of this region was so impressive I had to take several pictures. I will explain the tectonic in a future picture.
Lately, the yellow rumped warblers seem to perch high in the trees after reaching out for the bugs. This one landed near me with a mostly neutral background, and gave me the over-the-shoulder look.

The young bird (on the right) was demanding more food.
THANKS FOR YOUR VISIT AND FAVES
ON THE REACTIONS I WILL TRY TO RESPOND BACK
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The young are accompanied by both parents and can fly after about 8 weeks. If only a single young or even none of a nest survive (because the young are wanted prey for herons, gulls and pike), the parents make another attempt. Per breeding season, the parents make 2 to 3 attempts to rear a litter of young. A coot lives on average ten years.
An older image from the harbour in Flensburg! I found it to be a wonderful place. Since they keep "the points" there (traffic violations and such) I was pleased that there was so much more to this city. I would love to return there one day.
