Little Miss Milla turned 7 months old today! She's growing up before our eyes :) She currently loves to eat sweet peas, suck on her little stuffed birdies, bang her hands on anything & everything, & to stand/walk (while holding someone's hands, although she can now stand completely on her own for up to 5 seconds). We also discovered last weekend that she is a water baby - she LOVED the swimming pool!
Hi AGAIN! First off I have to say that I’m sorry I've been away for sooo long! I've been feeling like I've lost my mojo and I've been feeling so unmotivated. However, been peeking in every once in a while and I’ve MISSED YOU GUYS!
So Saturday marked my official 3 month mark of my pregnancy. Truly, I have no reason to complain as I’ve had it super easy. I haven't been sick or too tired. Occasionally I feel a bit sleepy but not like other women have described it. I’ve been meaning to take some belly shots but like I said, I’ve feel sooo unmotivated. I figured.. I better do it soon or time will pass me by. Since I’m almost ending my 1st trimester I figure now’s a good time to snap a selfie. No time for messing around with my crappy tri-pod so a quick reflection shot will do. HAPPY 1ST TRIMESTER! Wow.. it’s going by fast!

"Since 2007, [The] American School Bus Council (ASBC) has celebrated the school bus' influence on learning through stories that span the nation. Each February, we invite students, schools, and educators to highlight the important role of the yellow school bus in their communities and show appreciation for the school bus drivers who safely transport more than 25 million children to and from school every day. By sharing your stories, you can help promote the benefits of the school bus on a national level." - American School Bus Council Learn more at: www.americanschoolbuscouncil.org/

I've posted a photo of Ember every day for 4 months. These days, most days are pretty much the same, so I think I'll stop doing it daily at this point and just do a couple a week from now on to show the rest of her growth into adulthood.
Now we are fully vaccinated we can go adventure out a bit more. It's been 16 months since we've been into a store. We adventured out to get propane for the BBQ.

For those of the Christian Faith, a month today is Christmas Day.
For Children in many homes it means that a visit from Santa Claus will take place. Never forget what it means to see the magic and wonder of the season through the eyes of a child.

I took this shot a couple of weeks ago, but I'm including it in my yearly birthday portrait pics. With work, and whether I feel photogenic or not, it seems the older I get, the less I feel like posing, and the handful of shots I took today don't look very promising. This year's batch will fall before and after my actual BD.
I don't know if anyone else has experienced this, but it seems that the date matters less and less with the passing years, and birthday celebrations seem to occur more when everyone has time than when my birthday really is! Starting in my 40's, I saw the trend beginning. My birthday seems to stretch from August 22 to some time in September now! It doesn't quite seem as special anymore, but the celebration goes on longer. (Try doing that with an 8 year old!)
Anyway, today I'm the ripe old age of 61, or at least I will be at 5:36 PM! That means I've lived 22,265 days, or 3,172 weeks, or 732 months, depending upon how you want to calculate it. I feel old when I think about it, but I guess I'm holding up pretty well despite the passage of time.
When I was young I swore I wouldn't be one of those old ladies with the flaming red hair and all the makeup, wearing loads of jewelry and those rhinestone studded sandals! So, I learned how to do makeup, and became a cosmetician at one point. Then, since I've never been able to decide what haircolor I really like, I learned to cut and color my own hair. I love jewelry, especially the big, flashy stuff, but I have been known to remove a piece or two so I don't look garish! I don't want to whack all my hair off and get a poodle cut, and I am not ready for dashikis, probably because I've already done that fad! I wear two times the makeup I did when I was young, but it looks like less. So, I've given way to the flaming hair and the jeweled sandal thing, but so far, I don't look too silly. The nice thing about getting old is, nobody cares if I do! Age can be a freeing thing as much as a limiting one. And if I wax philosophical, at my age, I'm entitled.
Here's to another year!

here i am.here.
i’m this house.
dead.
yet somewhere, alive.
you can’t see me.
yet.
yet, a very simple three lettered word. It means so much.
it’s means hope.
because no one can truly see behind these walls.
sometimes i like it that way.
sometimes i like get on my knees and beg for someone to break them down and show me myself.
not yet.
i’ve been telling myself this for years.

February is trying to kick my ass, if only it knew I kick far harder. </3
Jack turned 16 months old this week and wanted to include Allie’s grumpy cat toy in his monthly photo. His favorite activity is still resisting diaper and clothing changes. I feel like I’m wrestling an octopus covered in baby oil every time I go to change him. One of Jack’s favorite toys is his Little People barn and animals.
Jack is still cruising around the house and is walking really well as long as he is holding on to something or someone. He has taken a couple steps unassisted, but not enough to count as “walking.” He is about 31 inches long and weighs approximately 24 pounds.
His likes: loving on his boppy, sitting on your lap reading stories, splash table, going to the library
His dislikes: coming back inside, shopping, and going to sleep without being rocked
