Molly's mom, who lives in the unit next to mine, died suddenly about three weeks ago. It was unrelated to the coronavirus. I'm not sure what Molly's fate will be but have let the tennant in that unit know that I will help find Molly a new home any way I can. With all the neighborhood drama among the cats who live in our townhouse complex, Molly is the only cat who keeps to herself and causes no worries or concerns. She's a sweet girl who often greets me when I come home from work and has never caused any concerns. I'll keep you posted about the future of this sweet girl.
I've reposted some of her photos in the comments below.

Not sure how much wildness is in Molly's eyes. She was born in this house and has never set foot outside. (Except in a carrier to go to the vet). She is getting older and has a few issues, but still a very sweet and loving cat. She wasn't happy with me trying to get a picture of her, but I was determined to capture her portrait this week.
In Cathedral Close, Exeter, Devon. 'Mol's Coffee House', now a shop, was apparently once frequented by Sir Francis Drake and Sir Walter Raleigh (see www.exetermemories.co.uk/EM/molscoffee.html).
Apologies to those who commented on my upload of this earlier this morning - I somehow deleted the image in closing down so had to upload it again!
We shot this beautiful on-location picture with Molly last weekend, which plays with the concept of loneliness in a city, surrounded by people.
You can read a bit more about it on the following blog post: www.joseesteve.com/molly/

Molly and her sister, who was the only kitten out of the litter to find another home. Turtle and Sally were adopted out, but later returned to me, when the woman who adopted them found out she was allergic. I can't believe this photo was taken 7 years ago! Happy Caturday!

Grevillea are mostly endemic to Australia. They not only have amazing colour combinations but they have striking form as well. They also come in all shapes and sizes from quite small shrubs and prone varieties to reasonable sized trees. And don't the birds and pollen eaters love them. This one is of course "Molly" which was my Mum's name. So it seems appropriate to see her around her beloved Christmas.
We planted Molly a year or two back and these are her first flowers.
"Grevillea 'Molly' is a grevillea cultivar first made available to the public in 2003. It is a cross between G. aurea and G. bipinnatifida, chosen from seedlings which were bred by Owen Brown of Golden Beach, Queensland in 1997".
This is Molly, my cat.
She has recently realized that she's a "prisoner" in our home. She has been depressed since then. Everyday I feed the feral cats and she sees them walking freely outside. It's heartbreaking... She spends part of her day on this window.
"Molly Malone" (also known as "Cockles and Mussels" or "In Dublin's Fair City") is a song set in Dublin, Ireland. The song tells the fictional tale of a fishwife who plied her trade on the streets of Dublin and died young, of a fever. In the late 20th century, a legend grew up that there was a historical Molly, who lived in the 17th century. She is typically represented as a hawker by day and a part-time prostitute by night.
Touching her breasts is said to bring good luck. Thus, their shiny appearance. (Yes, I touched them.)
Paeonia mlokosewitschii - 'Molly The Witch' - a peony native to the Caucasus Mountains in Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Dagestan, but seen here in the garden at Raby Castle.
I don’t know who Molly is or was, but this is an exceptionally fine butte that she got her name attached to. There are several Molly’s nipples, as well as Molly’s stockings (a volcanic dike) in Utah, some associated with the bride of the cowboy John Kitchen. Presumably this was also named in honor of the cowboy’s wife.
The fine layering on the butte is the Summerville formation, sediments (shales, silts, and sands) deposited in shallow tidal flats when this area was a shallow ocean 160 million years ago. The white bands are gypsum, which sometimes dissolves and leaches into the other layers. These layers are responsible for one of the more beautiful formations of the Colorado Plateau in my humble opinion.
Above the Summerville is the Morrison Formation, deposits of sands formed following a period of uplift and deposition in floodplains and playas.
The castle and its associated layers beautifully reflect the late afternoon sun, as does the mini-badlands formation at the base.

In Dublin's fair city
where the girls are so pretty
I first set my eyes on sweet Molly Malone
As she wheeled her wheel-barrow
Through streets broad and narrow
Crying, "Cockles and mussels, alive, alive, oh"
"Alive, alive, oh
Alive, alive, oh"
Crying "Cockles and mussels, alive, alive, oh"
She was a fishmonger
And sure 'twas no wonder
For so were her father and mother before
And they each wheeled their barrow
Through streets broad and narrow
Crying, "Cockles and mussels, alive, alive, oh"
"Alive, alive, oh
Alive, alive, oh"
Crying "Cockles and mussels, alive, alive, oh"
She died of a fever
And no one could save her
And that was the end of sweet Molly Malone
Now her ghost wheels her barrow
Through streets broad and narrow
Crying, "Cockles and mussels, alive, alive, oh"
"Alive, alive, oh
Alive, alive, oh"
Crying "Cockles and mussels, alive, alive, oh"
"Alive, alive, oh
Alive, alive, oh"
Crying "Cockles and mussels, alive, alive, oh"
"Molly Malone" - The Dubliners
Hollywood, Southern California in 2010. As one can see, a mere twelve years ago they still had public pay phones and newspaper stands selling two major big-city newspapers (The Los Angeles Times and the Los Angeles Daily News) . And no graffiti visible anywhere. As I recall, Molly's was on Vine about a half block south of Hollywood Boulevard.
