Lava House is a modern home with a colour scheme inspired by the 1970's and hot lava. Dark orange, dark red, reddish brown and black are dominant colours.

The house is situated on a volcano shaped rock surrounded by a stream of water and sand. In some way it reminds me of Calmwater Cliff House MOC, but it is still very different.

Inside the house you find a fully furnished living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom downstairs and TV corner upstairs.

The grille tiled roof can easily be lifted off in order to display the interior.

My plan is to display Lava House at a Swebrick exhibition in Hässleholm, Sweden, in the middle of August 2018.

I wanted something that looked like a rundown floating 1960's English Caravan with a string of dirty laundry airing in the top! It turned out pretty close to that. The front of the 'van is SNOT and the hull pulled from a Swamp Police set.

It wasn't until I went to university and only came home in the weekends, I realized how much I love the sight of my hometown of Temse in Belgium. I always try to have a seat to the left of the train, near a big window, especially near sunset. Because when my train crosses the Temse Bridge over the Schelde river, the view is just magnificent and then I know I'm home.

You can imagine that on reading the assignment of Rebrick's "Dream Skylines" competition, "Build a Skyline of somewhere close to your heart", I didn't hesitate for a moment on what to build. But I think that choice might have been the only easy part about this contest! Since the creation has to be in the style of the existing LEGO Architecture skylines, I had to come up with several ways to add enough detail and texture at the small scale, and at the same time had to adhere to the maximum size requirements that didn't allow for any overhang. Personally, I also wanted to create something that's completely buildable in real life with solid connections and only existing part/color combinations - because who knows, maybe one day my town will be interested to have one of these for real? - which caused me a lot of headaches. All of that made for a build time of nearly a month for this seemingly small creation (that still contains close to 800 bricks).

After all that building, I managed to cram in most (though not everything) of what I wanted to represent. From left to right, you have the Boelwerf Crane, the Onze Lieve Vrouwe Church, the Old Town Hall and the Temse Bridge. If you're interested in more information about those individual buildings, you can read the descriptions of the other pictures.

In the end, I'm very pleased with the result though, so it was worth all of the work. It gives me the same feeling as when I see the real skyline from the train on a Friday evening, the feeling of coming home. Which is really nice now that I'm on a two month internship in South-Korea!

Thanks for looking, and I hope you enjoy your home as much as I do!

Hi everyone, and Happy Easter/April Fools Day! (Captain Crafter , I did it again! XD) Today I have a moc I made: Arkham Breakout! It took me a few hours to build because of it's intricate details, but I’m pretty happy with the the end result. Enjoy, and please COMMENT IF YOU FAVE!

More information and instructions are available at jeroenottens.com

This is a very long-delayed MOC that I first completed over three years ago. I never got around to posting it though and then decided to rework it with a few improvements. But here, finally, is my take on the Tarakava rahi from the first year of Bionicle!

When pure elemental powers and exo-toa won't work, call in the tanks: get a Toa Warsuit today!

Yes it's got no Nuparu mask shoulders, but they're a bitch to work with...

also, Today's my Birthday. 17 years old. WOOT

Upcoming MOC, I still need some more bricks to finish it, but couldn't wait to snap a few pictures already.

Using 2, 48x48 baseplates, the biggest MOC I've build yet, I think.

Hello everyone, here is my latest creation, it was sitting on my shelf for a while but I didn't have the time to take the photos and post it, finally its here... Actually i do built both versions of the Testarosa, the 80s one and the 512 RT version, to be honest I am not fully satisfied with the yellow one, I liked the red one more, also this model includes a lot of details , techniques and functional elements with removable body elements and a convertible version, so please make sure to check out the YouTube video for a closer look. Thanks for visiting my page everyone, hope you like my work.

I must admit I am not really into LEGO Chima series. But after going through the minifigs I felt in love with gray wolfs/lions. After taking off some weird armors they look awesome. I had to build something...

As everybody else is postig posters of their MOCs from this year, here's mine.

Wasn't really productive this year in original works - not counting the 28 rovers in February. If you're missing most of my car builds, that's because the majority of those are copies.

A revamp of my old YT-2020 MOC, in white/orange space theme.

LEGO + NOT LEGO

A revamp of a revamp!

BFVA 22 colab, shipped my plate out to a friend to participate

This is my third MOC.

--------------------------------

Windfall is Saltcrown’s lair. Hidden in the midst of the deep forest, the dark elf warlock’s treehouse is only accessible through a small pond, poisonous to any unannounced visitor but vital to the Tree. The camouflaged outpost is guarded by Saltcrown himself and his elven and animal companions.

The title comes from the Dead Can Dance instrumental, which I listened in loops while building Windfall; in a way, it became its soundtrack in my mind.

--------------------------------

I haven’t posted any creation online during these last few months, but I haven’t been inactive either. Most of my Lego time has been spent getting inspiration from other builders, learning new techniques, and acquiring more pieces for my collection.

Windfall was built during the last month. My wish was to build something as organic as I could, while remaining in the general Castle mood. I soon opted for a treehouse, in part because of foggy memories of Forestmen’s sets from my childhood, but I wanted the whole building to be integrated into the morphology of the tree, not just fixed around it. Which led to some very fun and experimental building techniques.

First came a round structure made with hinges and round 1x1 bricks. While the trunk was getting taller, I had to integrate flat elements in that general curve (windows and balconies), and thus find a way to fix them in pretty convoluted ways (sticking them on turntable plates from the inside of the tree, and using a lot of hinges to reconnect subassemblies to the trunk at random angles). A lot of mixels (joints!) and a few Bricklink orders (leaves!) later, I was able to give to the tree-top the mushroom-dome shape I had imagined in the first place, and close the whole thing with a long (and mostly invisible ;-) ) balcony.

I wanted to get an irregular and lively shape for the trunk, while integrating recognizable castle elements in it, as well as some less obvious pieces. Most of the solutions I found were a mix of improvisation and inspiration from other builders, namely the amazing Derfel Cadarn and his unbelievable castle builds - and tutorials of course - and many others; a great many thanks to him and this amazing builder’s community for sharing their knowledge and talent online; there is an incredible amount of things to be learnt from you.

Hope you enjoy Windfall!

Here is a little compilation of every MOC I uploaded/updated on rebrickable in 2021!

From time to time, I like to design MOCs like real sets/real toys. It means the MOC must be fairly simple, with parts from the era of the theme, and also it must be solid and with at least one cool play feature.

Actually, it's harder than it seems ^^ But I'm rather happy with this little one...

This MOC was spesially redisigned to make it more strong and easy-to-build.

It consist 1417 pieses, instruction is 115 pages.

Hope You like it!

instruction is available on rebrickable:

Instruction was made using LeoCAD, Lidre Office, GIMP and pdfsam.

Little bashing between 2 other MOCs of mine.

Border of the Reich, mid 1945

Another look at alternate history. By this point, the German army has pushed all the way to the Urals. With the Soviets in retreat and Uncle Joe strung up, the Germans took the time to build a large defensive line just east of the Urals dubbed "the Gugnir Line." Strategically a bad choice to build the defenses to the west of the mountains, The Reich gained even more territory. The defenses are made up of deep trenches, bunkers, anti-air installations (including surface to air missiles), Anti-tank guns and obastacles, mines, electrified barbed wire, and infantry defenses.

Shown is a deep trench.

Soldiers are armed with MG 45s (updated MG42s), MP 41s, G43-Vs, Lugers, and others. Soldiers often customized weapons in their free time. Many men are garrisoned along the line, a large percent being new recruits while vets are fighting in more active regions.

Figs are by TMC, mostly from from the old "MRU Day"

Guns are by Brickarms, mods by me. Credit to Forestman for the extended G43 mags.

After almost 1200 parts ordered from Bricklink over the past few months, I'm calling it done. It is very plain, yes, but it is supposed to be in a fairly treeless/brushless area of Russia.

I know the pictures are bad, I don"t have a good camera (not even a real camera).

Vintage Gas Pump

Here a cool project I made with my friend Martin Chauvette for a LUG contest, it was a really fun collab to build this kind of thing. I don't usually build in this theme but for this MOC, it was an imposed theme,: GARAGE". So, we made an old fashioned Gas Pump.

13" Length

7" width

26" high

Over 4000 parts... we just lost the count!!!

Approx. 8-9 hours of build!

Still there are so many books to read! Still there are so many words to write! Still there is so much knowledge to discover!

Any Guesses?

I've sourced 95% of the parts and it's nearly built, I have yet to source the rest due to one part being exclusive in a discontinued set. Therefore I have found one seller in Germany who has it, however I need to justify ordering internationally and paying shipping when I have a longer list of required elements for other MOC's from that seller.

It will definitely be uploaded this month or November, that is due to sourcing the rest of the parts as well as taking a decent picture of a white subject will be very tricky. At the time I didn't think of that or that it could easily get affected by light and or the sun :/

Any tips for keeping white elements not affected by light or the sun?
