This is my Balda Baldinette, from about 1950. This was a product of the West German Balda company; the original company was nationalised by the East Germans, and the two remained in dispute for some time.
This has a Westar 50 mm f/3.5 (a triplet lens) in a Prontor SV shutter (1 - 1/300 sec, with a delayed action). The shutter works ok, after cleaning, but still jams on occasions. The interlock to prevent double exposure (the button by the winding knob) was very stiff, but I found out where to grease it, and it's ok. I don't have any decent pictures from it yet.
I also have a Balda Jubilette from 1938 (before there was an East or a West Germany). That one has an interlock button in the same place, but it works differently. I prefer the older camera.
